In Corel, you would use the Envelope tool.

Windows or Linux/Mac?

Signcut can with Laser pointer
You can without, too. Just set the laser offset to 0.

you're looking for this one, right?

I did a small design in Inkscape and saved it as an EPS file. I then went back to view it in Inkscape and it would not open it...I got a "Failed to load file" message. Is that normal? I can open an SVG file with no problem.
On windows, yes.
See this for more info:

you can run it off the cd and not do an install just to try it out (that runs very slow)
Yeah, slow is right - a much better option for trying it out is with a 'live' usb drive. I like UNetbootin for making live usb sticks (it does all the work for you).

In Corel, I would duplicate the text, convert to curves, break the curve apart, delete the unnecessary bits and recombine the remainder. Then I would apply the outline to it, give it no fill and move it below the original.
Hope that helps.

It's a custom font by Adidas. See http://www.t-shirtforums.com/heat-press-heat-transfers/t45012.html for more info.

Wherever there is white in the picture will show through shirt color. So everything will have a shirt-color cast to it.
-
Probably easier just to redo it - looks like about a half-hour of art time.

Nice . How do you mount those ? Contruction adhesive (ie . Liquid Nails ) ?
It took a bit of searching, but I found some videos on the subject:

Yes uniconverter is cross platform but sk1 isn't there 2 diffrent programs
Per their own description: "Uniconverter [..] is a command line tool which uses sK1 object model to convert one file format to another."

The pressure has to be good since it cuts through the vinyl and leaves a light sign of where the graphic was. A crease if you understand what I mean.
A crease on the backing paper? That means too much pressure. With proper pressure and blade depth, you should just barely be cutting through the vinyl without marring the substrate.
-
If it's in sK1, it'll be in the next version of Uniconverter, too.. So, eventually, it'll be in Inkscape.
Uniconverter is written in Python, so it's cross-platform.

What kind of vinyl is JPSS?
It's not. It's inkjet paper for heat transferring printed images onto garments.

What, no Dennis Gage level?
Inkscape settings
in Inkscape
Posted
"If you want your new documents to have different initial zoom, window size, page border, metadata, etc., just save a document with the desired settings (it may contain some objects, too) as default.svg in your share/templates directory (typically /usr/local/inkscape/share/templates on Linux, $INKSCAPE_DIRsharetemplates on Windows). "
($INKSCAPE_DIR is C:Program FilesInkscape by default, unless changed during installation)
