I don't mean to start a discussion if it's not warranted but the bible doesn't actually contradict itself, the practice of the sabbath was part of the mosaic law which was done away with by Jesus death. Interestingly after Jesus death his apostles never commanded that sabbath be observed, and they did not institute a new sabbath, it wasn't actually until 321 CE that Constantine decreed that Sunday be a day of rest for all but farmers. Oh yea and nice shirts!

do you have two or three pinch rollers? The blade carriage will always stop at the last pinch roller, from your picture it looks like there is not one at both ends of material? -
We print on POP once in a while is that it? I would say it's either POP or styrene, we get styrene that is really thin once in while.
-
Sounds like Sintra or Styrene do you have a picture?

if you're looking for something with depth, you keep mentioning backing it with plywood, use painted MDO. lasts long time, looks good and is cost effective. You can get MDO unfinished from your local lumber yard, prime and paint it yourself. and then graphic with oracal 751.

What kind of surge protection/surge arrester/ lightning arrestor does everyone have to protect their high dollar equipment? We've been getting some pretty sever lightning and we want to do something a little more than just surge protectors.

I used to work for ADT and we used to tell our customers the number one deterrent to burglars/thieves is the signs/stickers. You don't actually have to have the security system you just have to look like you do. It 's a low cost option (especially cause you can make your signs and sticker) that should really help.
-
right, that was actually my point that a surge protector doesn't do anything for a direct strike, but I know there are lightning arrestors as well as entire building surge protectors and I'm just wondering what everyone else uses.
-
so what do you do about lightning?
-
LOL yea no kidding, but our lightning storms are during business hours while we are printing. My luck we would unplug it but forget to unplug the network cable.

i know you said it's a sentinel dongle but is it a usb HASP key? I ask because I've had difficulties with win7 and the usb hasp key, and it took a while to figure it out.

If I read the spec sheet correctly I believe it can handle 176 degrees Fahrenheit. here is specs for 651 from Oracal. oracal-651.pdf

Getting back to original post... We do logos, I have posted a few on here, but most of our work is on facebook, facebook.com/designasignpagosa PM me if your interested, we charge a minimum of $150 for logo design, for that we will do 2-3 rough drafts, then revisions to one of the drafts. or I can scrap all drafts and start again.

Screenprinters - Anyone capable of halftone printing here?
FrznFire07 replied to blackpaws's topic in T-Shirts and/ or Garments
if it's just a gradient background you can do the halftones in illustrator as long as you have a postscript printer. We do it all the time. -
that looks awesome! nice work!

we print HTV as of January this year, with Siser ColorPrint PU on a Mutoh 1324 and plotter to match. But honestly for the last 10+ years we've been cutting 1-3 colors design out of HTV. Even though we do have the option to print HTV now, we don't use it nearly as much as you might think. It's usually cheaper to silk screen multiple colors, since it really doesn't make sense to do 2-4 full color shirts.

Feels like I'm cheating on USCutter forum
FrznFire07 replied to MadHatterGraphix's topic in Off Topic Section
OMG I totally thought you were really cheating on USCutter. I feel much better now that I know you were being sarcastic. -
Just made a quick set of 12x26 magnetics for a customer. Had to rush to the order through since he was in a hurry for whatever reason, did a really nice clean layout, got 'em done in less than day, customers happy right up until he goes to install them and realizes his van is plastic. D'oh!
-
i bet ControlTac would stick to that, just heat it up and press into groves. It would be a pain but I think it might work.
-
just wondering here but it sounds like you have a pretty good idea what you're looking for already, why don't you give it a shot, get a rough sketch going and then post it and we can help you clean it up and/or critique it.
-
He paid when he picked up, we are going to try and help him out, but he admitted it was his own fault. We are trying to talk him into using the magnetics on his other vehicle and we'll graphic this one.
-
He asked if there was any way to make them work... I told him I have duct tape
