How do I adjust "Weed Border" size ???

should be under the panel tab, right under the sizes. You can also cut without weed border.

    Now we're just showing off...

Had to show this off, we're pretty proud of this work. They liked the small trailer we wrapped for them so much that we ended wrapping their 30' trailer as well. we didn't have a space inside big enough for it so we had to use the body shop's garage that painted it for us, only his shop is forty miles away, and we have been having quite the winter. Oh yea, and we had two weeks to complete it. Took us the first week just to strip and clean the old graphics! Just click the link to our facebook and scroll down, the big trailer is the first one, and then you'll see the small trailer. https://www.facebook.com/designasignpagosa/
  3. I'm not an expert by any means, but I know with the older Illustrator programs, they tend to have a much harder time with imported files vs files created by illy. Especially the bigger ones with a lot of points. many times when we run into this issue I just end up re-drawing image in my version and things tend to run much smoother.

    Fleet Graphics

Does anyone here do any fleet graphics? We striped our local Fire Department vehicles maybe 4-5 years ago and the reflective is starting to turn black. We used oracal Oralite 5600 series reflective vinyl. White and red on red trucks. My questions are, how long do you usually expect fleet graphics/stripes to last? How often are they usually replaced? Is it normal for reflective to turn black after so many years? What type of reflective is normally used for Vehicle Graphics? I attached some pics below...

Vinyl master pro select multiple objects?

I have to respectfully disagree the path editing in Flexi / LXi VinylMaster is unparalleled. there are definite features with inkscape/illustrator that I'm very fond of, but the path editing tools take the cake. I do all my paths in Vinyl Express and then transfer the file over if need be...

    Van Wrap

So if anyone has been following my posts this wrap is FINALLY completed. This is the one we had several problems with. We actually ended up printing this wrap nearly three times due to printer malfunction and some installation errors. All said and done we think this looks pretty awesome. This is actually my first complete wrap, where I designed, printed and installed all here in this shop. We've done several other wraps as a shop, but this is my personal first complete wrap.

My project of the last 7 days

good to know (that could've been a disaster), thx. Honestly as i much as i would love to rebuild/replace it i think it might be better just to sell it as a mechanics special. on a side note... I have a great deal on a 1997 Ford Expedition if anyone is interested!

My project of the last 7 days

The tranny in expedition is going out and since it's our only four wheel drive I am trying to decide whether or not it's worth it to replace. I can do simple mechanical stuff but transmission? I think I'm in over my head. lol

    Banding?

so we believe we found the problem. We need a new maintenance station.
  25. FrznFire07

    Banding?

To any of the people on here who print wraps and/or large decals: when you do large scale gradients does everybody else get banding? We have a wrap we are doing now, that has a back ground image of green fading to white, and we have some banding in the print. its minor, but because it's a wrap you can see it if you're in the right light. we have installed wraps that other companies have printed and there's had banding as well, all be it minor, I'm just curious if this is typical of a large format printer or if there is something we can do to minimize it. We are using a Mutoh ValueJet 1324 with Genuine Mutoh Inks On 3M IJ180 v3 (controltac) with matching 3M gloss laminate.
