I recently obtained two Speed Presses. a 72" and a 34". I know some people have made their own and my question is, do I have to use the speed press app tape or can I use any clear app tape? I have high tack, but think maybe low tack would be better?

I'd sneak up in the middle of the night and remove the M and the AGE from Massage and see if that gets her noticed, but than again, I'm a vindictive sort of person!

I have a business door I'm going to be doing and the total size is 20" x 26". It's two color but only the top third gets a second color and it's just a square. Going by the L+W/2 I should charge in the $23 range plus maybe a little extra for the second color. I have no shop yet and no real overhead, so what is fair for installation? I ended up quoting $40 for the decal and $20 for installation, he agreed, but do the numbers seem right? Also is 651 ok for glass doors?

^^^My wife's car is in my sights when the weather breaks.

The sun is shining here in Michigan and it's a balmy 35 degrees here, up almost 80 degrees from the -40 with wind chill we had last week, and I'm suffering from spring fever already, which got me thinking about window tinting.
I know my SC cutter isn't supposed to be able to cut film, but I've heard of some people cutting it with an SC and was curious how much luck they've had? And where is the best place to get film (I do have an EIN)? It's something I want to get into this spring and hit it HARD through out the summer, along with graphics and possible wrapping.

^^^Looks sweet! I got my cutter in the fall and now it's too cold to really mess around too much, plus I just moved and am still setting up, but I have ideas I can't wait to try out.

Ha! I just realized I said, "BREAK dust", I meant brake dust. I hate looking like an fool!

Looks Awesome! How well will that oralite stand up on those rims, with the road grime and break dust?
-
WOW! Nuff said!

I don't have a shop...Yet. And it's quite cold up here in Michigan, but I'm chomping at the bit to play with that knifeless tape. Good job!
-
Not a fan of the gloss black, but your work looks really good! Did you use knifeless tape?
-
I already posted we need an automotive section here, cause I would love to get some how to's on wraps and layouts. That is some amazing work, If you weren't out in Colorado, I'd ask to come spend some time there and learn.

Should've kept the deer hair! It would have stopped the vacuum effect on your wheels for better gas mileage!
Egobuster1: I love the Black!! The bike is awesome, did you dip your rims? I think we need a car thread here!!! To show off custom graphics and such and have help and how to's! Moderators? Please?

^^^Amen!

Personally, I like my black and blue color scheme and I also like that I can always peel off the plasti-dip if I want. And they make a ton of different colors you can purchase online.

I'm a bit of tuner enthusiast. But NEVER use a screwdriver! I've found a wood or plastic tooth pic works best. Here's some pics of my car

For the emblems, Google Plasti-Dip and watch a you tube video. Much easier than decals and you can pick up a can at Lowes.
-
Did you use an air eraser or something else? BTW, Your work is amazing!

Actually, I called, I mean, e-mailed Oracal customer service and they UPS'd me a color guide for free. Just received it today and it's the same one US Cutter sells for $10 and is pictured above. I don't understand why these aren't free upon request, even from US Cutter. It's a tool to market and sell their product. But Hooray for Oracal Customer service.

Congrats! Don't forget the app tape.
-
Some people have said the books don't give true representation of the actual colors.
-
Does anyone know if Oracal offers a board with all their colors in actual vinyl attached? Or, how are you guys doing this? Are you making your own?
-
Help please

Does anyone recognize this font? Thanks!

I know this is a bit off, but last week I went up to a local ice rink to drop off decals for a hockey team from Canada, during a tournament. And there were a couple guys up there selling t-shirts with the tournament logo screen printed on the front and they were offering custom lettering on the back. They were using a MH series cutter and a cheap t-shirt press (I didn't see the name). Point is, they were using bottom of the barrel equipment and if I had to guess, I would say they walked out of there with no less than 7k. I say start with what will give you the best value for what you can pay, and upgrade when it's necessary and possible. My 2 cents.
