It appears... I fully expected at the very least an offer to sell me one.
-
Wish it was closer I would give him double just for offering it for sale.

When I have Sure Cuts A Lot pro in the cut dialog it has an option for multi cut for my SC series cutter. What is this for ? neither manual explains it.
-
Thanks, that helps a lot.

This is a tip not a question: After you remove a decal from a vehicle no matter what your method there is usually some residue left behind. And at times this can be as hard as the decal it's self to remove. Today I tried something new, a magic eraser... it worked like a charm. Quicker than goo gone and less mess.

Yes it is. But I'm cheap so I use the wal-mart version.

Have any of you ever used clear vinyl ? Can you see the adhesive ?
-
Thanks Jay, So is it similar to a cold lamination then ? I have the hot lamination but it’s not for every application. The clear looks interesting, I think the next time I place an order I am going to pick up a roll.

SC series cutting issues
busterbay replied to GraphxNMore's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Discussion
Mine did that when I first got it drove me nuts. Found out the head had jumped track during shipment, only one wheel was in the rail. Good place to start. I also do an overcut. Mine cut's like a champ now, every time I hear it run it sounds just like $$$ -
Thanks, do you know if it works with windows 7 & 8 ?

Shipping a 15X15 decal
busterbay replied to Bruisbe's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
Another alternative it to not expand your box and ship it flat with the decal inside. -
Just to toss my 2 cents in. I am an old web guy we have used several of the big names over the years. The only one I use today is http://www.dreamhost.com/ . Godaddy is more focused on taking your money now days then they are at providing a service.

Thanks, I have used corel paint way back when it was made by Jasc software. I would assume the Draw interface is similar to paint. I will limp by with what I have for now until I get a deal on Draw.
-
Jay, I have been considering buying corel draw, do you feel it's worth the money ? I am assuming your are using the envelope tool to do this. Is it easy to use ?
-
OK thanks OWJones , I didn't want to keep buying and or installing software and not finding what I want. I appreciate the tip for arc font, man that site has a bunch of spam ads.

I have inkscape, I have only figured how how to make the text longer or taller. Is there a tutorial that explains how to do this ?

Do you use a carrier sheet or do you just cut it ? What mil do you use ?

So am I it was driving me nuts. None, I actually believed it was a software issue as many eluded to.

I thought I would let you folks know what I discovered today. As you know I have been having issues with my SC cutter since I purchased it. I have posted several questions here about incomplete cuts, etc.... Today I discovered the Major issue, during shipment the cutter head had jumped track and only one of the wheels was in the track. Having never seen one of these units until I got this one I didn't know any better. Today I decided to adjust the tension wheels to see if that would help and as I was adjusting the origin of the cutter head that's when i noticed it was not seated correctly. I popped it back onto the track and it appears to be cutting just fine. However as you can guess the settings I had are now all wrong. I sent a support ticket in to see what USCutter thinks about the issue and what they are willing to do. I used a few rolls of vinyl messing with this thing. I do like the machine however a booklet showing how things should look would be nice if it were included with these unit.s

True I am sure it is however never seeing one of these beasts before I had no idea it was off track. Well half off track. Lesson learned now it's time to make cash.

We are looking at buying an SC, do any of you have one ? How reliable is it ? How detailed can it cut ? Our use would be hobby / craft sales.

My SC 34" is leaving an impression of the knurled bar on the top of my vinyl. Will this go away as the vinyl relaxes ? How do I adjust the pressure rollers on the SC USCutter units ? Thanks !!
