Hmmm...that just might work. I fired off an inquiry to Photo Tex for their input. Don't need to print...they just want white lettering as the wrap is dark wood plank look. May have to clearcoat it though. Thanks! SuZie

I have a band wanting to put sponsor names in white on their travel bus. BUT, they want it removable in a year or so if fans/sponsors do not renew their $$ support. First, is there an outdoor vinyl for cutting that is fairly removable but won't fall or wash off? Here's the kicker...the bus is wrapped....so this may not be possible anyway. Thanks for your advice. That is my worry too ... the wrap will probably be damaged removing lettering. SuZie

Without a larger photo it will be near impossible to auto trace that accurately. Your best bet is to re-create it as close as possible or get a higher resolution photo. Sue2

Can anyone identify this font from this awful fax? The Y has an extended right arm and the B, P, E & R seem to have bump-outs half way down the left. Thanks for looking! Anything close would probably do. Sue2

Yes...possibly Algerian without the outline or a look-alike. I can do that in Corel. The Serifs may be a bit different...but I doubt they would notice. Thanks Jay that gives me a starting point. Sue2

Welcome...like the above said...practice, practice, practice , read, read, read... and don't take orders before you can do a job you can be proud of. Sue2

Thanks! Seems like a nice program. Sue2

Don't try to vector the letters....it is always better to use the font for recreating lettering. Sue2

It can be done in Corel too...use envelope tool. Sue2

All are nice...love the travel mug idea -- blasting instead of vinyl. Is the plate blasted on the backside or front? Sue2

Anyone know of high tac printable vinyl for "property of" stickers?
Sue2 replied to desertdog10's topic in Vinyl
What you're looking for is tamper proof or tamper resistant label stock... They are called "Asset/Equipment Labels" or "Asset Security Labels". Don't know off-hand of any printable stock for that. Maybe someone else has a source. Sue2 -

If you really want that done, you'll have to pay to get it converted. Shouldn't cost to much. Start with simple pictures to convert." I agree...all but the first one are much too complicated for the inexperienced...and would take some time for experienced people to re-create. Pick your fights while you are learning and pay members here or Vector Doctor or William at Excaliber to do the hard ones. Personally it would be worth it in MY time alone to pay someone else to make those vectors. Sue2

I've had my cutter for about 2 months, I didn't know the first thing about graphics programs, vectorizing etc. 3 months ago. this is the only place I have come to and I have found everything I need to know. I vectored all of these images in about 5 minutes. Sure they can use a little clean up. I vectored them before I read the whole thread and saw what you others have posted. I have to agree that with 1.5 years this should be cake work for this guy. I mean if a rookie like me can do it after just a couple months (and I only use my cutter a couple times a week). Anyways, I took the effort so i might as well post them. Bravo! I hope the OP at least has the grace to thank you! Sue2

Not an easy one to vector with all the shading. Probably best (time and money wise) to let one of the graphics professionals tackle this one. They are very reasonable in their pricing and turn times. Even with experience this would take a chunk of time to get nice. Pick your battles .... save yourself time and frustration and give your customer a quality job. Remember, this will represent your work. Sue2

Thanks!
