I don't have any experience with Flexi or VM... I think CorelDraw would be the one to try... Plus, with the right plug-in you can cut from it... or copy & paste into Sign Blazer. Sue2

Yes...I knew that....not necessary on the other colors.... but sure does help on the white. Sue2

Which white vinyl has a blue liner? I have some here I have been using but NOWHERE on the roll is the brand name....and I don't remember where I got it. Sue2

Nothing on the backing paper either..... Well, I am happy ordering Oracal. I just wanted to be sure the backer was blue.... much easier to use. Thanks guys! Sue2

Do all your manipulating on a copy of your text. Once you convert to curves it is no longer editable as text....PLUS you may need to go back and start over if things get real UGLY! Sue2

Good for you! If you notice, on your sample above, they stuck in a heart to fill in "empty spots". Sue2

I doubt there's a push button solution. Mostly this takes good design sense, skill and finesse. It's easy enough to do in Corel.... just takes time and patience... and a bunch of different fonts. Find a shape you want to follow and lock it in the background. Then start placing & sizing the words till you get something you like. Good luck. Sue2

My brother in North Carolina wants 50 t-shirts, 2 color black & red on white Hanes Beefy-ts.... good quality work. It's just one side but I really do not look forward to doing 50 on the heat press. Can anyone recommend reliable source either heat press or screen print that will do a nice job reasonably? I have the artwork done. TIA Sue2

A big thanks to jaybird for the speedy turn-around on my brother's 50 t-shirts. PLUS, they look great! Sue2

I usually tell my customers that the vinyl will outlast the shirt... My window washer's first shirts were screen printed and the ink didn't hold up to the constant washing & bleaching. The black faded to a charcoal grey. So, he came to me for heat press..... So far the vinyl still has good color and has outlasted the fabric of the shirts... The actual shirt fabric colors don't hold up well with all the bleaching. Sue2

I agreee for the general occasional wear shirt. BUT, I have a couple of garages and window washers that wear their shirts every day and wash them frequently. The window washer even bleaches his shirts to get the grime out of the fabric. They don't care how heavy the imprint vinyl is....they want it to last through washing after washing and still look good. I've switched over to Easyweed because it saves me time doing the weeding on intricate logos. I'm watching my window washers shirts now to see how it holds up. Sue2 .

You did a good job...the boat looks just fine. Easy weed really IS easy. I just wonder if it holds up as long as the heavier ThermoPlus. Now you're hooked on the t-shirt fun....... and wait till your friends find out you can do this! Sue2

Who wants to print some business cards for me?
Sue2 replied to express2100's topic in General discussion
If you find a local shop to partner with, you won't have to add shipping charges to the cost of the cards. For small quantities, the shipping can be as much as the printing cost of the cards. Sue2 -

Vistaprint also does signs, t-shirts, banners etc...directly competing with YOU! I run a print shop and outsource some cards that I don't have the equipment to produce from Trade Only Printers that won't sell direct to my customers. Set-up a reseller account with a close by reliable Trade Only Printer or a local source that won't steal your customers. Sue2 -
Yup, well worth the small price of teflon or even parchment paper. I'm with SeeJay.....biggest thing to remember when cutting heat press is: MIRROR IMAGE....MIRROR IMAGE....MIRROR IMAGE ;-) That one thing has gotten me more times than I care to admit! Sue2

Thanks guys...e-mail & art sent. Sue2

In 2D, projects gone wrong are worthless.... In 3D, they are "Modern Art"....... IMPRESSIVE! Sue2

Jay, I see why...works nicely for monograms. I may just have to break down and buy it myself. Sue2

Nice job....what font are you using for the monograms? Sue2
