    Stamp makers?

Why not print your own labels? Avery makes diecut label stock of various sizes that will run through inkjet or laser printers. You can change up the graphics as much as and whenever you want. In FULL color! Sue2

    Stamp makers?

Wholesale Companies...for wholesale pricing you will have to have a business license. Roanoke Stamp & Seal in Virginia is one. Hodgins Engraving in New York Sue2
  3. Don't get me started on the postal system... In the last 6-8 months we have had bills not arrive here and also our mailed payments disappear...... Of course, when you tell your electric company that you never got their March invoice or you sent in a payment 3 weeks ago (with check #)....they really don't believe it. They hear that all the time! Frustrating! Sue2

    Stamp makers?

We provide stamps for our customers but don't make them. Unless you really want to get into making "rubber" stamps.... no need to buy equipment & make it yourself. Just buy the stamp and move on to what you do best. There is not a lot of big money in stamps or self-inking stamps. We design here and send art to a wholesale stamp making company. BTW most all now are not rubber but poly. If you can keep within with a 1" x 2.75" area, you can provide your own art and order a self inking stamper for $22 plus shipping. For larger size handle stamps they run a bit more and you need to use an ink pad with them........ Yes, LARGE over-sized self-inking stamps are a bit pricey....AND bulky! In the end, it all depends how big you want the stamp and whether you want a self inking design or handle stamp with ink pad. Sue2

Do you think they will make a u-tube vid for us?
  6. 4' x 8' = 32 square foot $5/sq ft = $160 plus design fee if any. With 5 colors, I would design it & send it out for printing and move on to something else. Unless they wanted it overnight and were willing to pay a rush charge. Usually the banner is delivered in 2-3 days from order. The $1.46 per square foot "Bay" price is unrealistic when you consider your own material cost, time, labor & shipping. Basically they seem to be offering wholesale to the general public. Sue2
  7. Just when you're in a rush SH*T happens! Relatives visiting from out of town last evening and I wanted to make up a couple of quick t-shirts... Got the designs made up & cut .....press heated up... first shirt was fine, second shirt looked like below! It wouldn't stick! ARGH!!!!! Even pressed it twice! No time to re-cut & weed another graphic. Sigh...the 2nd shirt was a bargain basement special and a close look at the tag this morning shows a content of 53% poly and 47% cotton! I guess not enough cotton content in that second shirt! Lesson learned....look at those tags - - - FIRST! Sue2
  8. UPDATE: With much trepidation, I tested my old Hotronics heat press this past weekend... AND, discovered the problem above (thankfully) was the vinyl!!! Don't know why that scrap piece of vinyl wouldn't stick but it didn't! Don't know where it came from and I only have a small 4x18" piece left..... that's going in the trash! Does HTV vinyl go bad with age? Did 10 other shirts without a problem... Whew! I really wasn't looking forward to buying another heat press. Sue2

Help with what to buy for startup

Colors.....whatever you have, someone will want something different! Find a source close by for those odd color requests AND charge extra for "Special Order" colors. Ideally, look for someone going out of the t-shirt business like Slice just found and purchase their stock at a discount...there's plenty around that thought they would make a fast buck but discovered otherwise. Regular stock HTV colors: White Black Red Orange Blue, Navy & Sky blue Green, Dark & Lime Yellow Gold Silver Neons: Green, Hot Pink & Yellow are popular and look great on dark colors Beyond those...get some sparkly ones & neat patterns for the ladies. Help with what to buy for startup

If you want heat press vinyl only....you will need: a cutter a bunch of Heat Transfer Vinyl in various colors a heat press t-shirts Again, a better graphics program like CorelDraw would help... but you can do it with the free programs. PLUS some more trial & error learning time. Sue2

Help with what to buy for startup

DTG Is a bit pricey for low volume...although we all would love to have it! For a reasonable entry level FULL COLOR set-up all you need is: some JetPro SofStretch Inkjet Transfer Paper a decent inkjet printer a heat press t-shirts Some sort of better graphics program like CorelDraw would help too. PLUS some trial & error learning time. Sue2

    Reading a Ruler

Interviewed a high school senior who was taking "Graphic Arts" classes. Nice girl, before she left, I handed her a ruler and asked her to show me the 1/4" & 1/8"........ you guessed it...she couldn't! NOW, just how do you even start a graphic without knowing its size & proportions? ? ? ? Sue2

    Vinyl vs. Rear Window Wiper

Glad you asked that... I've often wondered about how the vinyl holds up to the wiper. PLUS are there any restrictions/laws about blocking the rear view? What do auto insurance companies think of this? Sue2

    HELP!!

I don't see why you're having trouble ...a simple quick trace in CorelDraw X4 made the attached eps file. A little node editing and it will be good to go. Sue2 Silverback.eps
  21. Another consideration....... Since this is your "second job" will you have the TIME available for the extra work you will need to generate in order to pay the higher rent? Sue2
  22. You know, you're right Scott....the adhesive does look like it stuck there... but further over, to the left of the graphic, by the lettering, nothing seemed to stick there...I wonder if I didn't have enough pressure....I'll have to check that out this weekend since I have a ruined t-shirt anyway. Don't know what the pink HTV brand is.... it was just a loose piece I had laying around. Looks like it could be Fibron because it has feed holes along the edge. The first shirt was a different brand with different HTV....pressed fine. Sue2

    Have you noticed?

How come it's only the USC Forum that has problems? Their main page and of course shopping cart are always working just fine.
