The bladeholder on my Copam is slipping in the carriage. While I have not positively identified the problem source, I suspect the nylon, poly or whatever; probably has a hair line stress fracture. Have ordered a new carriage and am wondering if anyone with experience has any tips or pointers for replacement? For example do I need to concern myself with timing of the belt, etc...? Thanks

Not if you intend to use it for commercial purposes. Oh...you meant will it function? Uh, what cutting software do you intend to mate this with, signcut, signblazer? None the less, even it it does not launch your cutting software, you would still be able to design and size with Corel, saving to a file type that your cutting software is compatable with. If you have Vista, I did see a good many posts on the net of student version installation issues.

Huh?...It isn't or you haven't tried? ...Grasshopper, multicolor applications can be done if you weed gracefully and have the patience to align the colors. Now before you start in with that isn't layered, remember it all depends upon one's definition of layering.

Picked up a 50# tub of Black Beauty 80 grit garnet at a local farm store for $29 after much discussion with a brother employed by a water jet mfg and familiar with abrasives; in spite of his recommendation to use at least 120 grit for a smoother finish. Blasting @ 80 psi with the gun positioned @ 90

Is this is in normal view? Try changing the view to wireframe and see if the results are the same. The first thought that comes to my mind is you are possibly overloading the capabilities of your system. What operating system, which processor and how much RAM is present?

If you mean for use on a heat press, it didn't for me, but than I'm not a patient person. I use Oven Paper found at the Supermarket in the foil aisle.

Providing the project is not locked, you should be able to highlight and drag the curves from one layer into another allowing consolidation in the object manager found under Tools. Then right click the now empty layers and delete. Perhaps there is a simpler way.

I use Corel X3 with SignCut, about a year ago the SignIt feature stopped linking correctly. Now I either contour or just duplicate and then position for shadow prior to trimming (shaping) an object in Corel. Perhaps that's an acceptable solution for you too.

I took a male and female symbol from Signblaser's library and exported them as one EPS file. I then imported them into Corel X3 with the top or heads canted to allow overlap. Desiring to cut as one object without overlapping cuts, I then attempted to weld, combine, etc without success. So as a work around I exported the design as I desired it to appear as a .bmp and then vectorized it, importing it back in once that was done. Why was I not able to manipulate these .eps objects?

Our offspring brought one of these home from a school fundraiser last week to the tune of $15. The label claims 69% recycled cotton fiber and 31% combined recycled synthetic content. I'm having a difficult time grasping how cotton carded, spun into thread, then woven could be recycled into a fine T shirt fabric again. Which led me to state the cotton is not truely recycled beyond perhaps retrieving it from the Honduran sweatshop floor in it's natural state. Insight beyond speculation appreciated.

When I import .eps files into Signblazer, in spite of the file being grouped previously with Corel, images break apart according to color, making it all the more difficult when resizing, duplicating, etc. Is there a way to cause the color elements to remain grouped or is there an easier way to regroup them in Signblazer than to highlight the color elements in the image and group? It seems I often miss a color when grouping in Signblazer.

When using SignCut, what are you designing the project with? Were all elements of SignBlazer removed prior to installing SignCut?

If there are indeed various ordinances defining the criteria for displaying address numbers in rural America...it causes me to ask where the People were on the days those ordinances were enacted?

Select or highlight the object and then hit the "e" key on your keyboard. The instructions in the help menu state to type the "i" key...but that didn't work for me. That should open the inline/outline dialog box for you. I get lost in the printed manual, may I suggest you open a simple object in SignBlazer, highlight it and then experiment with your keyboard...you'll be surprised at the shortcuts to be found.

I have been cutting with SignCut driving a Copam 2500 for over two years now from a Dell Vostros (Sempron) using the USB convertor without issues. I can understand the frustration some feel with their cutting problems. However I also feel a need to dispute the contentions stating this combination is fraught with issues. The combination of USB conversion and the Copam is not the real issue. The real issue is conflict within the computer unable to work with this combination. Simply put, if you are having issues with this combination and not able to resolve them, rather than believe the fault lies in the Copam software or hardware, you need to look closer at your computer and decide if it is capable of what you ask. If it is not; then determine if it due to hardware limitations or software driver conflict?

No as you have proven it is not necessary in all applications, however my belief is it will cut cleaner when converted.
