Thanks OWJones for sharing ! galaxygraphics depends on vinyl and support ! I have put vinyl on glasses and they have gone in the dishwasher 100's of times and still there ! I don't think I could get them off today ...

I know this is an old thread but better late than never .... I have pressed 9 caps with normal Tshirt heat press... I wouldn't recommend doing it on a full time basis, however I needed it done and didn't have any other solution. It should have been 10 but the first one I tried doing it with an iron and it messed up. What I did was put a piece of wood the size of the logo that I wanted on the inside of the cap and then with the Tshirt press open I pressed the cap by hand, holding the cap around the piece of wood. It turned out fine, but I am now going to buy a cap press .....

Hi all, I have already used heat press vinyl on Tshirts, however I have a futre customer who wants something doing on mens silk ties.. Has anyone ever used thermoflex or others on silk ? Any help and advice would be mre than welcome.

Cheers screenprintr for your time and answer. I will do a test or two. I want to use thermoflex but they say it's good on cotton and polyester and when I asked about silk they didn't know. Just wanted to know if anyone has tried it... I will post with the result but won't be until next week. The customer would prefer silk ties to poyester, so will give it a go to see how it turns out.

Very nice. If you want to try something out, as it says vintage you could always try a little pinstripe outline/shadow like old hand painted signs ! But I quite like it as it is..

I will try and post a couple of pics, heres the first trial, it was for a friends renault espace with his company name and number etc Hope the pic shows up as it doesn't show up in the preview ... Ok have seen that it does show up ... it was just a simple white with his choice of color and font, I wanted to do it rouned off instead of straight lines as he wanted at fist .

Hello to you all, I am that new to vinyl cutting ........ that I haven't started yet ... I have a DGI Omega 130 (if that means aything to any of you ?) This forum is a mine of information, however I will have plenty of questions I am sure once I have gone through all I can read I have Omega cut pro that came with the plotter and am trying to learn Illustrator and thanks to you all Inkscape now aswell. I have played with the plotter and managed at last to cut ...... but will need to try out different vinyls and settings regarding blade pressure and maybe even the blade etc. I am actually English but living in France for the past 28 years ... but feel free if you want to try your french .. Keep smiling and hope that I will be able to participate and show some cuts in the near future ... Bye for now
