i have no idea why but when i make cuts on the right side of my machine it cuts deeper than on the left. Ive tried alot of things. -new blade -offset -depth I'm using an LP24 with a hp pavilion dv6000 and BGS vinyl. i bought my machine a few months ago off of us cutter's ebay account. i recently noticed few screws were missing on the left side under the cover. when i moved the head left i noticed that there was a white wheel in side the case that holds the belt it was wobbling kinda funny and it was not the same on the right. my guess is that the wheel is making the belt move up so that my cuts get lighter and lighter. one thing that i have tried is putting some scrap vinyl in the machine and press down and moving the head right to left so that it makes a line in the vinyl, as i did that i noticed that it cut through the paper and then when the blade reached the end it wasn't touching the vinyl at all. if someone can help me i would really appreciate it. i have wasted 2 yards in materials.

problem fixed. pushed blade holder all the way down and made the blade stick out half a credit card also changed the pressure settings. and now it cuts perfectly fine. thanks for everyone trying to help.

i just put a brand new blade and its nice and snug.

i also have oracal but its specialty. the BGS has worked just fine for me in the past. the weeding out on the right is soooo easy, i don't have to do much work. then when it comes to the left, if i can see the lines i would have to trace over it with an exact o knife.

ok i opened both sides and the belt is lower on the right and higher on the left, other than that i don't see anything else. this is kinda odd because i did a 20"x40" decal and i didn't have any problems and now i try this lil stuff and the machine doesn't want to act right.

is it hard to do that? because i don't want to mess up the machine even more.

hey, sorry if I'm re-posting this topic but i looked through this forum and i also typed in the search bar and i didn't find a solution. my laser point 24 is doing really nice cuts on the right side of my image and when it moves over to the left side it just barely scratches it. i read in this forum that my offset should be at 0.24 and my pressure should be at around 140 so i tried that and i got really good results but the problem is that it was doing fine on the right side and now it just totally rips through the paper. i use sign blazer for sending cuts and for vinyl i use Oracal 651 Intermediate. i would appreciate it someone could help me out. i feel like its just a simple error but i can't get it right. if anyone out there could help me out i would appreciate it. thanks.

hey guys, i bought a laser point 24" cutter about a week ago. I did all the installations right the first time and my machine worked great. then a while later i was doing a design and about to cut then suddenly Sign Blazer froze up and my computer went to a blue screen and restarted. so that happened over and over. then i went into safe mode and deleted viruses and backed up my files. i was told to do a system restore, after i finished that the cutter wouldn't cut. i decided that i can't keep on wasting time and trying to find where the driver is and go back and forth doing time consuming things. i rebooted my computer completely and installed Sign Blazer again and all that good stuff yet still my cutter wont show up in the device manager. someone please help me Ive tried most of the things that i could think of and that i could find in this forum.

yeah the forum did help a lot with other problems that i had. like when i bought the machine i had no idea about the "on-line" i would have called US cutter directly its just that i believed it wasn't anything having to do with the machine because it made fine cuts before my computer went blue screen, so i figured it would be more of a computer tech problem. and no he just messed with the drives, he basically did the process of elimination and found the problem.

i had a guy come and look at it because i spent like 2 days trying to do it and i was just getting tired. he worked on it for about 30 minutes and got the machine running. thanks for the help.
