  1. In my opinion, the stand assembly instructions in the Operation Manual for the MH721 stand are pretty poor. Here is another version. It may also be applicable to any of the Refine MH-series cutter stands. Suggestions for improvement or corrections are welcome. Regards, John UsCutterMH721StandAssy.pdf UsCutterMH721StandAssy.pdf
  2. That sounds familiar. I still have to take off the bottom rail screws to get one of the little plugs I dropped into the inside of the vertical rail also. John
  3. Thanks, I thought it was likely something like that. I had a tough time getting those cross bar screws in place -- having them in the tubes would make it a lot easier. Also, I have removed the tape on the cut strip. Thanks, John
  4. Here is a picture of the two mystery parts. There are six of each in the hardware bag. What are they and where do they go? Thanks, John
  5. I will take a picture tonight and post it. John
  6. I just received my MH-721 cutter last evening and have assembled the stand. I have some pieces left over that were in the bag with the stand assembly hardware. There are several black plastic tubes with a flange on one end and a smaller hole in the other end (sort of like a real tall top hat), about 2 inches long. There are also several small black plastic plugs, about 1/4 inch in diameter and 1/2 inch long. What are these items for and where do they go? Also do I remove the masking tape from the cutting strip area? I think, YES, correct? FYI: Delivery timing: Won Ebay auction, Sat., May 23. Cutter shipped, Wed, May 27 (1 business day elapsed - it was following Memorial Day weekend). Received Monday, June 1. Shipped UPS ground from IL to CO. Package and cutter arrived in good shape, although I haven't fired it up yet. As a mechanical engineer, I am so far impressed with the construction and quality of the system for the price. John

    >My wife and I are currently planning a white water rafting / train ride / offroad exploring / horse back riding / hiking trip in mid > Sept... any good suggestions on where to go? So far, we're thinking of going to Buena Vista. Not sure about the train ride, but all the other activities are available around BV. A fairly short steam train ride is available in Cripple Creek, about an 1-1/2 hr or so drive to the east. Or you could go over to Durango for the Durango-Silverton RR. Regards, John

Good day all, After a couple of dozen attempts, I finally won an Ebay auction for an MH-721 cutter. So now I'm anxiously awaiting delivery. What have delivery times been running lately? I've been following this forum for about 3 weeks now and am amazed by the amount of information and assistance that is provided by the members and US Cutter. I have been compiling information about startup and setup, so hopefully I won't have too much trouble in that area. I am pretty familiar with vector graphics programs and have been trying out Inkscape for a little while. I am figuring on using SBE for my main program. Don't have anything specific in mind to make yet, plus I still have to get the basic supplies. So long for now. John
