SCREEN PRINTING by far is the cheapest way to produce shirts. Ink is cheaper than vinyl..... You can build a decent basic four color press for press cheap. the most expensive things will be the hinge clamps. Thats how I started several years ago. Ive got all kinds of fancy equipment now but honestly I very seldom get a customer who wants more than 2 or 3 colors. I got a book when I first started years ago and it is still available. it is called screen printing for fun and profit. Also in that book are some plans for a basic four color press that I biult and used in my garage printing for 3 years. Dont let anyone say you need a big fancy press to start. My second order was for over 5000 dollars printing 762 shirts for a baseball league. Never had a problem with registration. We are talking spot color not four color proccess so before some start to jump on it. The vinyl cutter comes in handy when you are doing names and numbers on the backs of shirts which has a price of $4.00 additonal per shirt. Just do some reading and practicing and youll do fine.

This isnt vinyl but it is some shirts Im screen printing for a wrestling tourny. The scrolls are actually over printed with photo chromatic ink so they will change to golden yellow when the kids go outside and areexposed to the sunlight.

Need help design me a logo

I use corel draw for all my artwork. The best advice I can give you is just start tinkering and you will make changes here and there. My logo is nothing like I first envisioned it but when I got done after working and tweaking for days here and there I like to think its nice. check it out on my website. To add on what someone else said is we are in the graphics arts biz so you reaaly do need to come up with something nice to represent. www.4dscreenart.com

Yes I use corel draw. I learned how to powerclip from a website called coreldrawtips. here is the link that will show you how to power clip (put into a container is another term) Once you learn how to do this you can make your own clipart and not use the same stuff as everyone else. That will set you in a different catagory than some others. Check this out it is really good http://coreldrawtips.com/site/powerclip-in-coreldraw

Im assuming you are talking about making a picture of a car into a one color eps file you can cut on your cutter. Customers are getting very savy to the quality of work some can do these days with vinyl graphics and the faster you learn how to the better it will be for you. With that said what you will need to Is start using other programs such as Photoshop or Corel Draw to outline and prep your artwork and export them as a jpg. Then you open it into a free program called inksckape to trace and save as an EPS or SVG file. Then all you need to do is import into signblazer and cut away. I know it sounds like a lot but once you do it one or two times it will not take long at all. The proccess took me about 25 minutes to produce the EPS file attached along with an illustration of what I was talking about. I also use this proccess for producing clipart for my screenprinting customers. Regards all 56.eps 56.eps

    stupid question

I use Firstmark sold by signwarehouse. It is the least expensive Ive come accross and it works awsome. I have done probobly over 1000 names and numbers using this stuff. 16 buck for a 11 foot roll. This stuff works great on50/50 100% cotton and I even used it on UnderArmor shirts.

    website with vector art

There are thousands out there. Here is two. www.digital-clipart.com http://www.actionartclub.com/index.php I dont know how much you are looking to spend. If you are looking for some general files Ebay has a ton of them or just google vector clipart. Learning to make your own from basic clipart is invalueable though.

Received my 3rd cutter and still problems

I was cutting some names and numbers last night and I had slowed my cutter down for some smallar fonts. I slowed it down to 16in/sec and noticed the lines were like your test cuts, but when I changed it back to the normal 24/in speed it was fine agian. Have you tried setting your speed faster?
