I have had the same proble with my 50" refine. When ever I try and cut an eight foot banner it goes crazy and runs into the other side and makes that bad noise!. So I just cut half the banner at a time. I am using a 15 or 20 foot usb cable though. I'd like to run a serial cable just need to find me a long one.
Any thoughts. Is the long usb cable a bad thing?

I tuck and wrap around the edges. Make sure the edges have a clean surface or they will lift. Also I try and center the graphics the best I can. Usally that means finding lines on the car and following them. Tack things up to see how they look first on one side. When you have it the way you like take measurements and repeat on the other side. Measure Measure but if you are off one inch on one side versus the other you really cant tell its hard to see both sides at the same time.

Man looks like you could take your plotter with you to! I use a rubber made container with all my stuff in it. I try to keep my shop tools at home. If I don't keep install tools separated I end up loosing them! or stealing from my install box!

I just use a hobby knife? when it gets dule stick in a new blade. I find that to work a lot faster for me. I can stick and flick a lot of stuff out like that. Buy the blades by a thousand and they are pretty darn cheap. My 2 cents.

Hey I got a hold of a 48" King cut. Who makes this thing and will signblazer work with it an what drivers does it us? Does it roland drivers?

I put all my emotions on the side lines when it comes to customers. Sometimes it just kills me but smile and make them happy even if I am burning inside! Money knows no race, creed, religion, its just all green to me. I had a political sticker on my bumper last election and I think, I know it hurt the calls I was getting so I took it off and things went back to normal. I advise all my customers to remove anything that might clash with their message.

Ok. I'll give setting up text in SBD a try and see if that makes a difference. I'm just so used to Illy. Its so much more user friendly. Thanks for ya'lls input.

My refine is great other then it cuts long lines across my vinyl when it goes to cut the weed box? I'm cutting a banner
and am tired of recutting the letters that get chopped will post the file and see what ya'll think. I make everything in illy then import through eps. Could it be making to many nodes with the eps? It only does it when I cut the lower half of the banner. Thats the part with more letters= more nodes? Will creating it in SBD make it have less nodes? I make one of these banners everyweek so I'd like to fix this problem. Will attach file. Thanks in advance.

I save little pieces like that all the time. If I am on a job and need to cut a letter by hand. I can take a rubbing of a letter thats all ready installed then cut it out with my exacto....!

The vinyl lifted in the valleys. I see a lot of this with bad wraps. If you do not set the vinyl to the new contour it wants to lift up.
