Hi! I just got asked to do a VERY long poem, vinyl only. The entire piece will be 23" tall x 72" long. There are 312 words in the poem and 1462 letters/characters (no spaces). The letters are about 2" tall. Any suggestions on what I should charge for this! I have no clue on where to even begin with figuring out a decent price. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!! I have just recently switched from my home computer that was a PC with Sign Blazer and am now wanting to use my LaserPoint 24" with my MAC laptop. I bought FlexiStarter 8.5v2. I downloaded the appropriate driver from http://ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm and it still will not show my LP is connected when I go to try and cut an object. Am I missing something or doing something wrong?? I had no problems with the SignBlazer on my PC and now I'm kinda worried I shouldn't have bought this program and switched to my MAC!

Is there a way to make it where my cutter cuts fonts that overlap as one piece and not individual letters? I hate when there are cuts in my overlapping letters? Thanks for the help!

I did that. And I've dragged the fonts to the font folder on Windows... When I go to look for it, it's not there... but if I use the search tool and search for the font on my computer, it says it is located in the Fonts folder but I can never find it and it is never downloaded into SignBlazer... Hope that makes sense! Any suggestions??

I have been trying to download fonts into SB and may have figured out why I couldn't do it... When I first click on the SB icon on my computer to start it up, it does a Live Update.. but, mine pops up a window that says: SignBlazer Live Update: THE SERVER NAME OR ADDRESS COULD NOT BE RESOLVED!! Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it, so that I can get updates???

Yes.. I am still looking for help! My LP says online the entire time. It is just not recieving the information to cut. It acts like it is not even hooked up. Your help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I tried a new USB cord... That didn't work either... It shows the CPCut Ct 630 as my cutter, but it is like it never really connects to the LP24. PLEASE HELP!

It is still not working. I selected the CT630 as my make and model and it shows up fine. When I go into cut, it shows exactly what I am wanting to cut. When I press SEND, it acts like it is doing something for about 2 seconds, showing the job very breifly in the status box then flashing off. But nothing happens. Could it be the USB cord? It never worked with my PC either. Any other suggestions on what I should try? I made sure the drivers were installed correctly, even doing them again just to be sure.

Hi Yall! I'm from Arkansas but just got married and moved to Chesterfield, MO (right outside of St.Louis) because my husband is in school here. I could not find a teaching job here, so now I am trying to get started in the world of vinyl cutting! I am VERY new and am very lost! I hope I have not gotten in way over my head! Ok.. So I just got my LPCutter and am totally OVERWHELMED! I installed the cutter and connected it through the serial port and everything was working perfect. I was able to set up my vinyl by using the control panel. Then, I was trying to make my first cut, and the cut completion on SB never got past 4%, and it continued to say waiting on the control panel and never did anything. I had to shut off the machine because it was frozen and wouldn't let me press any buttons. Now, when I turn the cutter on, nothing on the screen appears. When I press buttons, nothing happens. When I tried to cut something again, my computer said that the cutter was not connected. PLEASE HELP!! I am very afraid I have gotten in WAY over my head with this! Thanks so much!
