Can I change page orientation in signCut?

I think Tater got it. You can also click on the red arrow pointing down above the text tool to bring up the rotate image feature
  2. It starts at the very right position of the cutter. You have the Refine series cutter I assume?

    Newbie Help PLEASEEEE!

For smaller lettering and designs, I would suggest lowering the cut speed. Also make sure the carriage is on its tracks, sometimes during shipping the carriage comes off of its tracks. Keep me posted, and if you want to setup a call for InkScape importing help, you can email me at kenimes@uscutter.com

    cutting from corel9 to mh1351

I would suggest saving your Corel file in .eps format, then importing to SignCut for cutting.

Can I change page orientation in signCut?

Are you referring to the blade origin or the offset for your cuts?
  7. kenimes

    Oh,Ye of Little Faith!

hotrod- are you running the latest version of SignCut ver 2.16?
  8. You can manually set the origin (place to start) on the cutter by pressing the offline button so the light comes on, then using the arrow keys to set the blade where you want it to start on the material, then press the origin key.

    need help

I would suggest saving your Corel files in .eps format and cutting them out through SignCut
  10. Make sure that the carriage is on its tracks, sometimes during shipping it will come off the tracks and still go through the cutting motions, but cause eratic cutting.
  11. Could you send me a copy of the file you are cutting and I can investigate? kenimes@uscutter.com
  12. Sounds like it was not saved correctly. SignCut is still seeing the file in a format other than .eps or .ai
  13. Maybe email me directly so we can setup a troubleshooting phone call kenimes@uscutter.com

    Missing parts

Any way you could email me a pic? kenimes@uscutter.com Should have come with 2 pinch rollers. If one is missing, we can ship out another.
  18. Yes the cutter always defaults to 9600- so you should leave SignCut at 9600. I have never had to change it to cut.

We sell replacement blades at www.uscutterdirect.com
  20. Yes, you should not need to change any of the settings......leave them at the default. Refine MH/EH 721 is the correct cutter that should be selected. Read cutter has always been greyed out for me as well. The baud rate default when you turn on the cutter is 9600, so I would leave the baud in SignCut at 9600.
  21. For you laptop, try downloading the latest USB driver from our web site. It is located under Downloads, then Refine Downloads, and is the very top selection. It is self-extracting and you simply need to run it. Then plug in the USB cable to the laptop with the cutter turned on. Found new hardware should pop up, and then your hardware is installed and ready to use. Go to your device manager and look under the ports category- find which COM port the USB installed to- then simply tell SignCut which one it is and you should be in business. Ken
  22. You can email me directly at kenimes@uscutter.com and setup a time we can walk through some troubleshooting on the phone.
  23. It looks like you have got it right. You use the back position when you are not cutting all the way through your material, and the front position when you need to cut all the way through material. You use the silver and gold metal screws on the blade holer to adjust the blade depth. It should only be sticking out enough to cut through your vinyl and not through the backing. Load it up to the lip on the blade holder. Looking at the pics, it seems you got it properly loaded.
  24. Yes, the memory can be upgraded.

    what do you think?

The MH721 is a good starter cutter. The software does take some getting used to, but it is worth it. It does not come with clipart, but there are several web sites you can get clipart from. There are several users that frequent the forums that help out whenever they can.
