    Few Presales questions

The cutter comes with a dust cover. I have not plotted with more than one color pen, but I think billy has.

    PLEASE HELP!!!

Sounds like a hardware issue. You can email me directly for support options: kenimes@uscutter.com
  3. If it is going all the way to the left, it sounds like the cut size is bigger than your actual cutter. So the carriage wants to cut where you tell it to, but has to stop (grind on the left side) when it gets to the end of your cutter.

Signcut File Formats. Whats the best?

You'll want to save your Corel file in either .eps or .ai format. These are the only 2 formats the cutting software will read.

how do you resize the graphic..?

You can size the image by entering the desired size under the Images button. If you set the width, it automatically sets the height, or vice versa. Make sure that in settings you are set to inches for Unit and Area Unit. You can rotate the image, or mirror, or cut several copies etc. To rotate, click on the red arrow pointing down, then your rotate buttons appear at the bottom. Use them to flip, mirror etc.
  6. I hope so too. I also have Flexi now, so I was going to try and recreate the issue here, but good to hear you got it going. Keep me posted.
  7. Could you post the file you are trying to cut, or email it to me kenimes@uscutter.com I will try and cut it here, and if it is doing the same thing, it might be the file. If not, it may have something to do with your cutter. Is the carriage on its tracks?
  8. It always resets to default when powered off/ on. You cannot save the settings. You could leave the cutter turned on to keep the settings.
  9. When you turn the cutter off and back on, it will always reset to the defaults. No way to change it. When you are cutting small lettering or logos, you will want to lower the speed of the cutting on the cutter. It may also have something to do with the file you are trying to cut. If you could post the file with curves that has issues, I will try and figure it out here. For the USB connection, make sure you have the latest USB driver which you can download from our site. Just click Downloads, then Refine Downloads, and it is the top selection.
  10. If you run the test box cut in SignCut, does it do the same thing? If so, it may be a hardware issue. If not, it may have something to do with Flexi.
  11. The pinch roller marks (bee-hive) will go away when you apply the vinyl to your substrate. I have emailed you back regarding the missing nut.
  12. It is the nut that you are missing, maybe check the bottom of your box that it came in. The ground wire goes from the bottom of the cutter frame, to something metal for grounding.....like the stand. Make sure you ground it because static electricity can cause the magnetic carriage arm mechanism to malfunction. If you cannot locate your nut anywhere, we can ship out a replacement. You can email me directly to keep me posted on the nut issue: kenimes@uscutter.com

    Oh,Ye of Little Faith!

There is a dongle version available so you would not have to be on the internet. It is a lifetime /unlimited subscription, and it sells for $250 Does your version of SignCut say that you are running in Test mode or PE?
  14. I do not see that you are tightening the blade holder to the carriage arm, it actually appears as though the screw to tighten is missing?!? If it is not tight, it will just slip up and down when the carriage arm moves.
  15. You dont need any force if the blade depth is set correctly, but mine is usually set at 50g The thicker the material, the more force I use. Stencil board for example, I used max force to cut through.

    Oh,Ye of Little Faith!

OK- keep me posted, SignCut should not limit you to 32" unless you have it set that way.
  17. The lip of the blade holder sits on top of the carriage arm, and you should use the back slot for most cutting, and only use the front slot when cutting all the way through your material.

    Two Questions please

The plotter should never be installed in printers and faxes. It uses drivers through SignCut, the cutting program and does not need extra drivers installed in printers and faxes. If you are trying the LPT port, make sure that there are no other devices in Printers and Faxes that may have used the LPT port, and if so, uninstall them. Also make sure it is not daisy chained to other devices or a switch box. ECP mode is correct for the Parallel port.

    The latest videos

You simply push up a bit on the carriage to re-seat on the tracks, and you will not void your warranty.

Re-Seating the carriage will not void the warranty.

    Newbie Help PLEASEEEE!

We have added the "carriage off the tracks" issue to our latest Refine setup inserts.
  23. Alright, when turned on, the carriage goes all the way to the right and this is the default origin.

Have not tried that. They are in a format ready to be opened in SignCut.
