  1. It cut out fine for me at a smaller size. What size are you trying to cut, the 177 inches in width?
  2. Yes, you should be using the MH1351 as your selected cutter in SignCut. The MH 721 is used for the 721 and 365 models. I need to correct the insert sheet. No word on support for Adobe just yet, and the Corel driver works for some platforms, but not all. If you ever face a problem with the Corel driver, you could save your Corel files in .eps format and import them to SignCut to cut out.

    Track Marks on vinyl

The marks are actually left more on the backing than the vinyl itself. Once applied the marks go away. No need to wrry about them.
  4. True, it should not do it for more than 1 copy, but in the world of computers, nobody has the same configuration as the next. Meaning: there could be several different variables in your setup that may be causing the issue. The LPT1 connection is usually the most reliable, but for troubleshooting purposes, we should try another. It is also possible that the cable is having an issue. We would not purposely send you a "crap" cable, but I am simply trying to nail down what is causing your issue.

what do those icons do ?

The first button lets you shift between the whole area or the selected adapted area. For exapmle: if you have a logo with lettering, you can use the button to look at the whole page with just the selected layer. Or select all layers and bring back up all of it on the whole page. The second button switches between filled picture or contour picture. Contour is what will be cut. Color is to see the whole graphic in color. The third button is to show all layers and the buttons underneath that are each individual layer. From what I can tell.

    argggggggghhhhhhhhhh

Usually the red X appears if the graphic is too big for the size you have set. You can try and get rid of it by clicking Edit, then removing all manual tiles, registration lines, and weeding lines.

    blade angle

For smaller cuts, you might try slowing the cut speed down.
  8. If it is doing it when cutting more than one copy, try one copy at a time. Might have something to do with the way the file is being buffered into the memory while cutting. You might also try a different connection method or another cable.

I was able to open in SignCut without the red X's as well. At the top of your SignCut program, does it say SignCut X2 PE or Test mode?

    HELP!!!!!!

Did the same thing for me. So I would assume then that it has something to do with the file and how it was saved, and not the cutter. Did you create this file? Did someone create it for you? Which program was used to make it? Can you get another copy of the file elsewhere?

    fj cruiser

Oops, you wanted the logo, not the truck itself. The file is very pixelated. Hard to vectorize. Do you have any other logo images to try? This is the best I could do with that file. fj2.eps fj2.eps

    Any chance for different software.

I think I spoke to Tom earlier, and he was not saving the file from Inkscape properly. Once I walked him through the correct way, he seems to be in business.
  14. Attach a copy of the file you are trying to cut, and I will try it on my Copam here. If it does the same thing, probably an issue with the file. If not, might be a problem with the cutter. Others have had the issue of the vinyl not feeding straight and have solved it by manually feeding the vinyl, then adjusting to make it straight. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 adjustments, but pays off.
  15. The pinch rollers must always be in the green sections on the Copams. I load the vinyl, center it, set the pinch roller at the far right, then smooth out the vinyl towards the next pinch roller before strapping it down. It could also have something to do with the type of vinyl being used. I have good vinyl, and some really crud vinyl that seems to bow up more than the good.
  16. I would not expect a New machine to do this, but I had her make sure she unrolls some of the vinyl before cutting (loosen it up), so that the tension from the vinyl roll is not causing this action. Also had her make sure the vinyl roll was seated ON the rollers, and that she had not put one of the roller through the vinyl roll for feeding.
  17. Could you attach the file you are having an issue with? If I can cut it fine here, then it has something to do with your setup. If not, then it is probably the file.

    Cutting programs

Which program are you importing the graphics from? Other programs that work with the cutter: Flexi, WinPCSign, SignGo, etc.

    HELP!!!!!!

When you click Reply- you must then click Additional Options to get to the attach feature.
  20. I only know how to vectorize in Inkscape, and still have not got that down to a science, but can do it. There is probably a tool in Corel that allows you to "trace bitmap". If the image has not been traced, cutting software does not know where you want it to cut. So even if you save an image in .eps format, it still may be unreadable to the cutting software. For example: I copy a .jpg image off of the internet. I open it in Inkscape. If I immediately save it in .eps format, it is still not readable for the cutting program because raster images (.jpg,.bmp,.gif, etc.) do not have the nodes needed for a cutting program to read. By vectorizing the image, you create the nodes for the cutting program to read (like dot to dot). If you are not familiar with vectorizing, and it is not something simple, then you can have your image vectorized for a small fee usually, or you could post the image in our Vectorizing section to see if one of our wonderful USCutter owners can help.
  21. I am still willing to get you working properly with SignCut, and am going to be here a bit later tonight if you would like to try me when you get home. Glad to hear you have found a software solution that you like.
  22. Could you attach a copy of the file you are trying to cut. I have an MH721 setup ready to go, and would like to try and resolve this issue.
  23. I was out sick yesterday which is why I have not responded yet. My thoughts would be that it is a hardware issue, either the motherboard or the carriage itself. I remember you had another hickup a month or so ago with your LCD acting funny, then it just went away. Maybe a sign that something was indeed having a issue internally. I will investigate further. I have had this issue here is the shop, and had to replace the carriage for some and the motherboard for others. Keep me posted.
  24. I would also suggest upgrading to SignCut. Seems to be a better cutting program with support. ArtCut has not responded to our emails for help when cusotmers have an issue. It may also be a hardware issue, but before we start replacing parts, we should try a better program.
  25. If you are using the Refine series cutter on the USB connection, I would leave SignCut and the cutter at 9600. I have never had an issue cutting at this baud rate. Which cutting program are you using?
