Thanks for the graphic. This might be a really stupid question, but how can I make the colors of the file that you sent me the colors that I am using in SBE? Is this something, that while converting the gif file in Inkscape to a path, that I should just leave black and white, then in SBE try to change the colors? That is where I am struggling. I can get the image into SBE and I can cut it, but I am doing a multiple color layered logo and I would like to convert the vectorized graphic colors to the colors in SBE

Contour Cutting Vinyl adhered to vinyl
stryker1 posted a topic in LaserPoint Cutting Plotter Support Requests
I have an LP24 and I am running both SBE and SB Pro. I have been using SB PRO to do my designs. and SBE to cut (Pro does not support all the features of LP24, from what I have been told). I want to contour cut around another vinyl piece that I have adhered to a larger sheet of vinyl. Is there a way to contour cut without printing a page. My designs already have registration marks incorporated into them. Also when I try to "Cut a Print", as soon as I click on "Cut" I get an unrecoverable error message. I have tried different designs, but always get the same message. If I can contour cut with SB Pro while using my LP24 let me know. -
So I am sure that somewhere on this forum someone has compiled a lot of links and posted. These are some of the free vector sites that I have found in my short time, so I thought that I would share. www.crazyleafdesign.com/blog/free-vector-downloads-the-largest-collection-of-free-vectors-ever-assembled/ www.vectorstock.com www.iheartvector.com www.freevectors.com www.vecteezy.com www.free-vectors.com www.vector4free.com www.123vectors.com www.vectordiary.com Not sure how to make these links, but anyways, you can cut and paste as you wish. Hope this might help. I have received so much information from this forum, and I think that it is utterly amazing how much everyone is willing to share with fellow users. The world needs more places like this!!!!

I purchased an Laserpoint 24 and it came with Sign Blazer Elements. There is actually a link that you can download the software for free from here. It is a trial version, which is all that you can buy or receive. the owner of Sign Blazer died and so did the company. I would suggest print off the manual. It has a lot of helpful areas and is pretty straight forward. It actually will answer the majority of all the basic questions. If it is more technical data, just ask on the appropriate thread. There are a ton of extremely knowledgeable people in this forum that are very eager to help us newbies. As far as other softwares, I am sure you can ask in the other sections under softwares.

I do have an older computer, but I just recently had it rebuilt with a large hard drive and added memory less than one month ago. I have 90% free hard drive space on this computer. Also this computer has very limited sofware, since it is primarly running SB.

Not sure if this is the correct area to post in, but I will give it a shot since I am not sure. I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion on how to remove vinyl from a trailer. The existing vinyl has been on the trailer for close to 6 years. The person attempted to remove the vinyl graphics and was successful in large part to get the graphic off but not the adhesive. The adhesive has now been sun baked for about a year. I have tried 3m adhesive remover and that doesn't wrok that well. Any suggestions?

Thanks. I think that it is just going to be a long hard task, but I am sure that I will get it. Thanks for all the suggestions

I have several images that are in multiple folders. One folder has about 150 images. Some images are ai foles and some are eps. I have found that I have better luck with the eps files and use the full post interpreter option that comes up when importing. I have also found that if you wait a few minutes before you actually click on the file to import that it seems to give SB a chance to (for a lack of beeter terms) catch up. I can actually open the files a few times and get the error message, then the next time it will open it just fine. I will do the same, if I hear or come across any other info, I will forwarded along.

stryker1 posted a topic in LaserPoint Cutting Plotter Support Requests
I was able to purchase Sign Blazer 6.0 from another member on the forum. When loading the software it asked for the cutter being used. I did not see an option for the Laserpoint 24" Which cutter should I select and will I still be able to contour cut? -
Laserpoint 24" and SignBlazer 6.0

Thanks for everyones help. I am sorry for being so neurotic. I just did not investigate far enough into what I was trying to do. I finally found some videos (thanks to the instructional area in this forum) on youtube.com that showed how to assemble multiple color vinyl. I was trying to make the process way to involved. I have now made several signs/logos that are multi colored with ease. I also purchased clear app tape. Man what a difference that made. Thanks to everyone that has invested their time and energies to this forum to help us newbies get going. I think that it is truly a testimate top this group that has no fear of loss of business or revenue to help each other out. Thanks -
I haven't ordered from them but there is another person on ebay that has a large selection of specialty vinyl on ebay. The store name is foxfire distributers. I have purchased and cut some of their chrome and mulit lense vinyl. The product that I purchased is a thick mil (not sure how thick) It isn't very pliable, so if you have tight radii or curves it might be tough to work with, but for flat surfaces it is pretty good. My Dad ordered the carbon fiber from them just to do some hand cut outs for a motorcycle tank and he was extremely happy with the outcome.

Laserpoint 24" and SignBlazer 6.0
stryker1 replied to stryker1's topic in LaserPoint Cutting Plotter Support Requests
I was able to cut my designs in SBE that I drew in SB Pro. What I really am trying to do is contour cut around a vinyl piece that has already been cut, weeded and adhered to another larger piece of vinyl. I can contour cut per the instructional videos on a printout. I.e. I cut a logo that is 9" x 11". But when I print it out it is only about 3" x 4". I am terrible at assembling two cut logos. Either that or I don't have the proper equipment to make it easy. I have tried using circles as registration marks to assist in the assembly. I am fine as long as it is a small piece. My problem is that the logos that I am trying to assemble are 24" x 39". They never turn out properly and I get frustrated. So I was thinking, I would try to figure out a way to contour cut around the piece that I already cut while it was adhered to the piece of vinyl. Am I asking for too much??? I know that I need to purchase clear app tape. Right now mine is the semi-transparent. Do I need to make a backlight table so that I can see everything. -

I have not tried loading both versions on my computer yet. I actually obtained SB Pro with dongle from another member on the forum that received it with his cutter but has never used it. -

I already have the SBE version, but there were some design elements that I wanted to use from the full version. I might have to load both of them on my computer and just use SBE to cut -
Can someone please help with some set-up questions. I am trying to load SB 6 onto my computer. I have gotten to the "Quick Cutter Set-up" screen and there is not an option for the Laserpoint 24". Which cutter should I select and will I be able to use contuor sutting with SB6?
