  1. When I was weeding it - I would use my weeding tool to pull apart the excess vinyl - and on almost every piece it would have to be pulled apart by hand or w/ my tool. I've seen others weed before - and the weed would come off so easily w/ out having to separate or finagle it by hand.

hmm...any tips? thanks for trying to help johnny.

  2. I am noticing the same problem as another user - weeding on a 7" vinyl bird took me half an hour - is this normal?

I had to use my exacto knife to cut the pieces of the bird still attached to the excess material (weed?) and when I try to weed away the material it pulls up the cut of the bird.

I am using Oracal 651 - (the good stuff) - can someone else try cutting the bird out - and let me know how long it takes to weed? and how difficult it was to pull up the excess? Thank you!

Attached is the .eps - I cut it out 7" wide and 6.749 inches long

I will also be calling USCutter tomorrow to troubleshoot it for me.

    It's a LP 48"

  3. I got mine the other day (48")  - only made two cuts so far - and I did have to slice off some of the excess vinyl that was attached to my lettering - I figured it was normal because the lettering was pretty small - both cuts were under 6" x 6", gonna try some bigger stuff tomorrow and see if I have the same issue.

Have you tried buying a different set of blades?

    My first cut (today):

  4. i'm doing signs for my businesses (it was cheaper for me to buy a machine & material than to get it done by the local sign guy)- with any left overs i may be able to squeeze in a couple jobs on the side,

    Machine $505

    Vinyl $655

    Software Free

    = Big $avings!

  5. Thanks I ordered the Laserpoint 48" w/ C cut  - I asked Max w/ Sales about the difference between machine qualities and he said the cheaper MH Cutter wil 'sometimes' not support bigger files because of the lack of memory. WTF? Why would they make a 50" machine that could not handle its own size? lol

Prolly just sales bullshit - but I didn't want to have any problems so I got the Laserpoint (Max approved)

Also - I would like to say that I have called numerous times and left messages to sales, shipping - and have not received any response.

I am slightly pissed off - do I get a free big mac card for the inconvience?

    I didn't think so.
