My computer crashed and I had to use the back up computer...this is an old computer with 533mhz pentium III processor and 288mb of ram...when I open a file to cut and I select the cut/rip button everything looks great....the production manager opens and it even sends the output to the cutter except that whatever it is cutting is not what i sent to it. I tried to load the setup again but i am not finding either the creation pcut or the uscutter in the list! Help me please i have a 1000 sticker run that is overdue by a week because my computer crashed and i am going to lose this job! Thanks John D. Hopkins if anyone is really in a good mood they can call me directly at 530-330-9140 and walk me through this.... :angel:I REALLY NEED THAT TO HAPPEN! I am supposed to have my booth open at the racetrack tomorrow and If this cutter isn't functional then that will be still more money lost that I cannot afford!!! :'(

Flexi 7.0 installing fonts from other programs?

Hi, I tried to do this from all of the above mentioned programs and I tried it collectively as well as individually and each time my puter dings and says "NO"..(well not really but it amounts to the same thing...It actually says: {Unable to install the font. File"...Fonts" was not found or could not be opened.} So I guess that I am asking for more directions.
  4. Hi everyone, This may sound krazy but I am a noobie at this type of stuff and it may be too technical for me...I purchased a FlexiSign Pro version 7.0v2 build 0138 and I have a USCUTTER Laserpoint 48". I have been using Sign Blazer Elements but wish to use this Flexi instead. Can anyone please tell me how to accomplish this task? I will need step by step instructions as I am not a computer whiz (I know enough to get me into trouble if not too careful). Thanks all! Oh btw I am really hoping that someone will answer this as soon as possible as I wish to use my new toys. If anyone has the time & patience they can e-mail me or call me on cell# jdhopkins69@hotmail.com 530-330-9140 Thanks.
  5. I guess I'm not so bad at this at all....with no helpfrom anyone I got the flexi to work!
  6. Hi everyone, My name is John Hopkins (aka Sprinter#5 because I raced Sprint Cars & will again if things work out), I live just outside of Chico, California (Cal State Chico & Butte Community College are real close by). I own a USCutter Laser Point 48" with Sign Blazer Elements & Adobe Illustrator CS. I have a BGS Starter Pack & Basic application tools. The problem is, I have no income, no savings, no money at all! My usual trade skill is not in demand here (Union Welder). I wonder if you guys & gals have some suggestions for me on how I can turn what I have into a business? My credit is not real good (low 600's). I really need to turn this thing into a business that will support my wife & I (no kids). I realize that my biggest problem is lack of startup capital & I was hoping that someone, somewhere would be willing to advise me on how to acquire the necessary capital with my current situation. I also would welcome a mentor to this purpose if one were available. Any and all suggestions that are constructive will be greatly appreciated. I am just a man trying to support his wife & himself. Thanks for helping. Sincerely, John D. Hopkins

  9. Hey...I just want to say that I am really impressed with the support that everyone has shown me. I never knew that the "community" would be this great...I should have started this before I was 42 friggin' years old! LOL. I guess there's no better time than the one your in though. Make the best of what you got & right now I got 5 or 6 hundred files that I wish to open in this damn Sign Blazer Program...OUCH.

    A little advice?

Hello, I am the proud new owner of a laser point 48" & I just did a job for my family (see links to pics). I used the BGS starter pack for the vinyl. The signs are 23.33 square & 21.00 x 30.00 respectively. The letters are 4" and 2.50" respectively. I would like to know how they are viewed by the rest of you? ie. good, bad, needs improvement, etc. and also how much one would charge for what I did? I purchased the white board for $13.85 @ Home Depot...of which I used 3/4 of it for this job. The sign holders were provided by the "customer" (my Mother owns the restaurant so I will not be charging for this...however, I do need some advice on what the market will bear for this job!) the signs are two sided and are exactly the same on both sides. Any and all advice/critique will be greatly appreciated...feel free to e-mail me directly too at jdhopkins69@hotmail.com with comments. Thanks Sincerely, Johnny javascript:gotoSlideShow('http://www2.snapfish.com/slideshow/AlbumID=297773812/PictureID=6921954504/a=164717488_164717488/t_=164717488') javascript:gotoSlideShow('http://www2.snapfish.com/slideshow/AlbumID=297773812/PictureID=6921953874/a=164717488_164717488/t_=164717488') javascript:gotoSlideShow('http://www2.snapfish.com/slideshow/AlbumID=297773812/PictureID=6921946354/a=164717488_164717488/t_=164717488')

    A little advice?

Thanks everyone...I needed a little boost. I am wondering if anyone can tell me why the eps files that I download from here will not open in Sign Blazer Elements? I cannot open them with the file open or with file import...in the file import...it gives me an error message that reads memory fault three times then it says unrecoverable error SBE needs to close...end of story. Anyone know why?

    A little advice?

Thank you Schramm...that is why I asked so no hurt feelings.
  13. Thanks Rodger...I am trying to make sense of it all...i have a whole bunch of .eps graphics files that I cannot even open in SignBlazerElements. I open SBE...then i go to the file menu and select open...nothing happens...then I try to go to import and i get an error message that says memory error (this happens three times) then SBE tells me that an unrecoverable error has occured and SBE must close...end of story. Got any suggestions as to why this is?
  14. Thanks all...still looking for advice though....I am a real noobie and it sucks.

    A little advice?

Thank you for your opinion. i do appreciate it.
  16. I want to pull graphic logo images from existing photographs and reproduce those images using signblazer elements. For instance...my partner has a towing company and another graphics company produced his logo and applied the vinyl to his trucks...now I want to make the same logo with my uscutter laserpoint 48 (which by the way the laser doesn't work so no contour cutting possible) I am working from a photograph that is in .jpg format & I have no idea how to convert the image to a format that will work. I am totally new at this and have only cut & applied two pieces so far but they came out fairly ok. any help will be appreciated

    A note about this board

Ok, Here is my first sign job that I did for my family's restaurant. I did not charge for this (family) but I wonder how much one should charge for this work? I am using a uscutter laser point 48" with BGS vinyl. I purchased the white board for $13.85 (4' x 8" sheet). The actual sign carriers were provided by the "Customer". The letters are 4" & 2.5" respectively. javascript:gotoSlideShow('http://www2.snapfish.com/slideshow/AlbumID=297773812/PictureID=6921946354/a=164717488_164717488/t_=164717488') javascript:gotoSlideShow('http://www2.snapfish.com/slideshow/AlbumID=297773812/PictureID=6921953874/a=164717488_164717488/t_=164717488') javascript:gotoSlideShow('http://www2.snapfish.com/slideshow/AlbumID=297773812/PictureID=6921954504/a=164717488_164717488/t_=164717488')
  19. Thanks Charlie. If anyone knows what to do...please e-mail me at jdhopkins69@hotmail.com Thanks.
  20. ::)Ok, i figured out how to access my pics & whatnot from my hard drive in SBE but...when I opened a basic file that's B&W sketch and sized it & tried to cut it...I got a message that the picture contains a bitmap image and the bitmap portion wouldn't be cut...the bitmap image is the only psrt I wanted to cut..What now?
  21. I right clicked on it using windows xp home and selected convert file option then typed in .sbd and saved it.
  22. I right clicked on a .jpg file and selected convert file to .sbd. It saved a copy with the cute little SB logo and lists the file as a .sbd file but I'll be a Monkey's Uncle If I can open it in Sign Blazer.
  23. I don't know what the problem is...I just cannot open anything on my hard drive in sign blazer unless I created it in sign blazer from the get go. I am getting very frustrated. Help??
