I emailed this guy offering help 11days ago but he never got back to me, he's either sorted it out or sold it and I'm tipping he sold it. Joe

JogaShop there's a time in life where you either want too learn or you don't and I think I know where you're at Pal. I wouldn't work myself it someone would do it for me, but I think I would start to feel a bit guilty in a very short time. Forums work well when everyone puts in and contributes. This is only the second time I've spoken out at anyone and the other time was for the exact same reason. There's no hate it's just someone trying the help you make an effort to learn for yourself. This previous thread may help you with a scale for modified cars and be a lot cheaper than buying software. http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php/topic,19808.msg155474.html#msg155474 By photographing the vehicle you can then import the picture into your software and design over the actual photo and know your graphics will be to scale and fit the vehicle. Roland GX-24 won't find marks on Papilio gloss film
JoeBlow replied to fishyboy1's topic in General discussion
try a different registration mark, a larger circle or square, keep trying until it's seen, I don't know what you're using now, but maybe it's too fine and gets lost with the gloss reflection. Joe -
He probably would have wasted over $400 in photoluminescent vinyl with either the Roland or the Graphtec also, I don't think the plotter was his problem. Joe

01 is the way you AI file was, 02 is it cleaned up and 03 will cut. It may need a little clean up around the start of the "M" there's a small glitch I didn't have time too fix. Joe Thomas03.eps Thomas03.eps

JoeBlow replied to routesmith's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Support Requests
If you're using a serial cable you will need a driver and then add your plotter as a printer in Windows. Joe -

If the text is correct and the only problem is that it's on the top and not the bottom, just grab the little red square and drag it around the edge of the circle to where you want it. Joe

bad registration on large cuts, how to resolve?
JoeBlow replied to lynnpromotions's topic in LaserPoint Cutting Plotter Discussion
Also check your blade offset. Joe -
First of all Mopar is 100% on the money if your PC doesn't have a serial or parallel port you will have problems. It does not matter which end the USB connection is it is a poor connection and is prone to working loose with any physical movement or vibration. It happens with your mouse, your printer, it's a very poor connection. A lot of people blame stray cuts from plotters not being earthed, I think you'll find that 90% of those stray cuts that the plotter stops 1/2 way through a job are cause by the USB connection. If your PC or laptop does not have a serial or parallel port buy either a PCI or PCMCIA card. Joe
