Welcome! I am sure you will like the Titan compared to the Cameo- especially for volume and flexibility. Cool idea on the bags for a city that doesnt allow plastic.

It looks like your letters are great, and the lines are nice and straight-so i am guessing its the file --can you post your file? We can review it.
Looks like the machine is cutting very well.

nice layering- wet or dry application?

I have a feeling the MH cutter doesn't know what to do with the data sent straight from illustrator. It is looking for DM-PL, or HPGL. I think thats why it went crazy...
from the website:
"The USCutter MH-Series are the best value vinyl cutters available anywhere! Works with Sure Cuts Alot and other popular software (like Flexi, SignBlaser and SignCut Productivity Pro) through standard vinyl cutter PNC1000"

Welcome! If you have the user manual, that should help start with connecting to your computer, and learning ,machine settings. But if you have the patience of a locksmith you will be fine.

That sounds mechanical? Is the blade holder secure? I would start with removing the blade holder, inspect blade, re-adjust and put back in.

Nice, sounds like the summa is going to get a workout. I am sure it can handle it.

Baud rate I belive is the communication speed between your computer and the device--how fast data transmission occures.
My CTN630 is set to 9600, and my port (COM1) setting is set to 9600, 8, none, 1, none. ( I use the tripplite keyspan adaptor). In my software I use 9600, 8, none, 1.

If you can do a test cut from the machine interface, and it turns out good, it may be the file that it receives causing an issue?

Do you get the message when you hit the send to cuttter command? In device manager, have you set the COM port properties to match your cutter? ( Baud rate,)? Also if you have the option for USB-RS232 cable that may be more dependable. I had similar problems with USB, and lesser brand Serial por adaptors. ( I recommend TrippLite sold by UScutter).

Looks great! Which material did you use to print on?

I have searched AI Photoshop, Signblazer and FlexiPro and cant seem to find this font. If anyone has something close- greatly appreciated. "SCMAS". Of course the image is small.
Thank you in advance,

Im not sure about corel- after vectorizing are you looking at the two layers including the original? Try deleting the original?

the carriage blade holder should move very-very easily with light touch of the finger.-my old one made a slight grinding noise.
-
I would start with:
1. cutting strip- does it have gauges? if so your vinyl is falling into it.
2. try a new blade.
3. then try a test cut ( I think its a square and a diamond).
4. remove the plasic cover, make sure the plunger moves freeley up and down, and is not getting stuck or hung up. I have an old MH1351and the plunger/ magnet motor would stick- I replaced the carriage (50.00) and works fine now. (edit- fine for its age and expected accuracy).

Does that unit have an RS232? If so I would also recommend the keyspan serial adaptor- connect thru the rs232 connection- i would avoid USB to USB if possible. What i have found is the kesypan will feed data until the cutter memory is full ( i think) there will be a quick pause and then continue to complete the job...you van watch the small lights blink as it sends data on the cable. I have had zero communication problems since using keyspan cable.

I think that is reasonable.

Tangential Emulation Cutting into Shapes

I had an interest in the Summa 160T - its a true tangential cutter- It literally lifts, and re-directs the blade to the next direction- theres a video on you tube somewhere.
Cool - but even for small work I am not sure how necessary it is.probably better for sanblast and thick stuff with detail.
