Joke I played on a guy I work with...

How embarassing, I did spell it wrong! Nobody here even knew! It was hilaroius, he showed up with his 'main' lady. She laughed it off but was rather concerned with his reputation. He of course was grinning from ear to ear all proud of himself, rofl! About 5 minutes later another lady calls him on the phone and said current woman briskly wispered "Tell her you are married!!! Then she'll leave you alone!" I think he's just loving life right now, haha.

    SO sick!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, I'm new here. What Graphtec cutter can handle those intricate cuts? Any specific model that uscutter sells or any Graphtec? Thx
  3. Lmao, there's this guy in our building here at work, he's 77. I absolutely love to flick him crap. We razz the hell out of each other all the time. Anyhow, he's out of the state and is coming back tomorrow. He's always hittin' up the ladies, a real player, especially for his age. My business partner and I decided to give his office door the gold lettering to get him when he arrives. I hope he's with one of his many lady friends when he comes to the office!!!

    A couple things I did :)

My first big sign. We're in a bld that has all these companies occupying it. Really it's soley the reason I got the cutter. I am pretty proud of it except the bottom right decal somehow got skewed It was a very long day, botched a measurement or something. Overall still pretty happy being my first big sign (it's 6 feet wide and 8' tall) Here's all the vinyl I cut the previous day, filled up my wall! lol And, for a brotherhood biker group: Windshield decals: Having a blast with this thing, I want one at home!!! Have a great weekend everyone!
  5. Hi all. I've recently become a member here since I got my zippy new vinyl cutter. However, I have a good friend that wanted me to do some tshirts/sweatshirts for him. I don't have the capability to do these since I do vinyl only currently. What we're looking for is a bid on 5-10 sweatshirts sizes S-M-L-XL-XXL & XXXL, in the colors of red, white & blue. Also looking for the same with t-shirts. A little background on this guy is he's just launched a website to promote/sell these items so if it has any success, he would want this to be an ongoing service if the demand warrants it. Here is the image (the flag can be different than the one shown, as long as it is similar, ie. waving in the wind). Thanks! KrokE
  6. I *think* the plastic is the substrate you're applying your vinyl to. Not positive. I've been tinkering around with the estimator as well. My question is: You can charge by text as per letter (kinda cool) or it defaults to sf price (with the default built in estimator if you haven't yet changed it) So how do you do both? I want an estimate based on the text characters as well as teh s/f of OTHER vinyl used say for other graphics. Can anyone lend a hand on that?

Now this will make you laugh...

rofl!!! The old sign guy left the vinyl up with the tractor feed holes even? sheesh!!! I admit, it would be nice to just 'drop off' your work and not have to deal with applying them in case you messed something up and had to redo the job, but that is, as someone said "shabby".

    I'm addicted now...

I agree completely, no guts no glory Plus I find it really fun and rewarding doing different things. I am also learning some of the material that works well and ones that don't all by trial and mostly ERROR! I don't know anything about inkscape so sorry I can't help you there. If you have a photo editing software I would try to edit and clean up the photo in that first, then bring it into your vector software to ready for the cutter (that's what I did anyway). Good luck/have fun!

    I'm addicted now...

I did this for a local tattoo parlor that my friend works in today. I didn't know if I could do it really because the original image was a photo of a 4' wide sign, and I don't have any real photo editing skills so to speak. I managed to get the end result I wanted in Corel, luckily. I'm sure someone here could have done it 10x faster but I'm just learning how to use the photo editing software I am going to do a 3 color version of it next similarly to the original photo and *really* press my luck, haha. Here's the picture: And my vinyl version: Best part: I'm getting paid to have all this fun!

Please help to identify this font?

FYI, this font has been identified as "Pristina"

    Lol I did it!

Thanks guys! What a supportive group this is! MMM, I did not get the file on here. I had some eps files of some tribals (i'd never actually worked with these files prior so it was nice to learn how to do that). I searched google for 'skull eps' and found the skull but it was only in jpg. Also was my first time trying to convert a jpg into a good cuttable vinyl. That was really my task, to see if I could do it...I was shocked it worked, lol. So then I tweeked it how I wanted it and added the second tribal image around it, eps files are excellent! The last thing I thought was "This would look pretty sick if it had white teeth". I ended up cutting the whole skull again w/ white and layed the black over top. Funny thing: Now that I'm learning this and having a ball, I will probably do something completely different in the near future and replace it. I love my vinyl cutter!!!

    Lol I did it!

My first 2 color. I wanted something kind of edgy so I made this for my truck. I didn't think about doing the white background until later after I'd cut the black out but hey, I like it Good conversation piece hehe.

Please help to identify this font?

Hi guys! I ask your helpt to idetify the text for the "fine lines". The client cannot locate the name. I understand it is a hand drawn font, however, it was hand drawn directly off of a font. My first job depends on it, lol. I have the chance to make 1000 decals for this guy...been surfing the net trying to find it, ANY leads verry much appriciated! Thanks all!!! JJ
