hello everyone, I ran across a ENCAD NovaJet 850 for sale, I have always wanted to dable in a little printing simple stuff like small show banners and decals rather than cutting it. I have no plans on doing wraps or anything else crazy like that. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this model and if would do what I m hoping it will do, I know they dont make it anymore but can I still get ink for it even and is it worth a damn? i have a creation pcut and just got sure cuts alot pro. I went to set up the cutter and i see it only has it under uscutter pcut, so i selected that but when i go to cut i get a window that says the cutter is not online and to check usb cable and power, its not the connection i can cut with signblazer and cut just fine. any ideas?

figured it out, had to take data port off of auto find and choose com 1

Hello, Im doing some tshirts and just curious if anyone knows how to do a little trick. See picture below, In the tail I want to like in sb weld or combine the word "cafe" into the tail so that I can take the letters out and the outline is cut into the tail. So when i print it onto a positive it shows through. Thank You

I ended up selecting the two objects then going into transparency and clicking make mask, then checking invert mask. that did the job, since I am making a positive to screen print with so I did not have to worry about my plotter making a 2nd pass. Thank You all who posted

Hello, Im recreating this logo for a cafe, the picture is from a sweatshirt, but for some reason I am drawing a blank, what the heck do they call the swoosh under the name with cafe cut in it? Im looking for one, but its hard when I dont know what to call it... thanks for the help

here is the eps of what I got so far, like I said I just cant seem to get it sharp and the lines solid, I used inkscape to trace it and got the outline, but now I have the different layers and would like to weld it like on signblazer so the lines are crisp and dark. I guess im looking for help getting it to not look so cartoonish I would like it to look as close as possible to the orginal logo

i have it all as an outline and i like the way that looks but now I cant figure out how to join the paths together using adobe cs5 to make the outlines solid when I print it off for a tshirt positive

Hello, I have a creation pcut that I am selling to a friend for his used car lot, I am upgrading and want some advice. I looked into signwarehouse cutters, and im going to stick with uscutter, I have had good luck with the company and I love the support here on the forum. SO a big thank you to everyone on here. I basicly do signs for real estate and race cars and other misc stuff as a hobby and make a few bucks on the side. One thing I am looking for is a plotter that will track better and a software better than sign blazer. MY thoughts are the TC series 24in. I figure I am working my way up to a nice machine some day, but not quite yet. So basicly I would like to know thoughts between the TC series and the laser point cutter... pros and cons between the two?? Thanks or do I take the next step up to the Copam, I dont really want to just yet but if there is a huge gap in quality and performance between the two maybe its worth it??? All imput is helpful, Like I said I want to just do an upgrade from my pcut Thank You Branden

im not really looking to do any contour cutting. just looking for something that will track better... thats my biggest complaint with the cutter

did a search on the forum and nothing came up so I guess next step is to ask if anyone has archer medium. I pulled a pdf into adobe ill and it says that the font is archer medium and I dont have it. any ideas or help thanks

Hello, I use a 24 in roll of vinyl and have signblazer set up that way as well, My question is when you go to cut lenthwise( say its 40 inches of letters vs 20 in) and the program splits the cut into 2 differnet cycles, what do i need to do so that when i put the 2 pieces together on the sign they line up perfect. The first time I tried this it was like there was a piece missing where they connect i guess see picture below, I do i not have this happen . Thanks

Is it all straight line based or can I zig zag through the words?

Hello have a chance to buy cs5 for 70 bucks tomorrow, I run signblazer with my plotter on a xp system. Is it worth the price? Will it play nice with signblazer? Will I be able to make a sign on cs5 as far as just letters and cut it with signblazer. I'm running into to much compression of letters for size and would like to knock that problem off possible? Never used adobe Before is it fairly easy? Instructions on YouTube? Thank you
