I just got my second machine from Uscutter It is LP24(the first one is a MH871). I am using the SignBlazer software that came with it. I am trying to contour cut a printed decal but it will not cut. The image is a jpeg so I made a square around it just a little smaller so I have no white outlines after cutting. Then printed the image with the registration marks on the bottom of the page. Selected cut a print and then cut. The prompts come up for the alignment, I get everything aligned and hit the cut button and nothing happens. I have tried several times and still nothing. If I go back to the original image and type text in a different color it will cut the text like it is supposed to so the computer and the machine are talking to each other. What am I doing wrong.

I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. I was not hitting the cut mask on/off. Did that then adjsted to settings for the cutter and now it cuts great and perfect every time!

Hi all I need a little help with this I have never had to price more than a few and they what a hundred. There is a new store opening up and they what a decal to hand out to their customers. They what a white decal with their name and phone number on it nothing fancy. It will be 22 inches long and about 9 inches tall. I would be using white 651 for this.I thought the size was a little big to hand out but that is what they want. Any help would be great thanks in advanced.

Hi all I have a little project I am working on but I need to be able to print on vinyl.I have read all the previous post on this as I could find about guys printing on vinyl with their desktop printers, but I still have a few questions. I did get some inkjet printable vinyl from Oracal it is 3951 series. When I try to print on it with my printer the ink just bubbles up and looks like garbage. I have a Hp 3100 series printer that uses the Vivera inks. Would I have better luck with the Durabrite inks from Epson or does it really make any difference? I know this can be done as some of you are doing it I just do not know how. Any help would be great. thanks

Then that would be where my problem is at. It sounds like I need to get some printable vinyl from Papilio. Who do you guys think has the best ink for the printable vinyl Hp or Epson?

I am sure this has been asked before but I could not find what I was looking for with a search. So I'll ask again. Usually when I do multi colored vinyl I just draw a square and use that as a registration mark, but I am getting a machine that contour cuts and I will need to be able to print registration marks for the cutter. In my versions of SignBlazer I can not use registration marks 1 does not even have the option and the other shows they are available but will not let me use them (that option is written in grey and not black). My question is how do I or can I make registration marks for contour cutting with SignBlazer? the cutter I a looking at is the LP24. thanks.

I see now. I am loking forward to trying this when my cutter gets here now that I have a better understanding of what is goin on and how to do it. The only thing is I better not go to sleep before I try for the first time or I will forget everything and have to start over again. Thanks sailor for all your help.

Ok I think I got the basic idea now. The design is the same as what I am doing now, the difference is to contour cut I have to print with the registration marks then cut just the design color, go back to my original design print again and then cut the outline color, yes? Then the alignment issues will be adjusted once I get my new cutter.

Thanks Sailor, When you say set x and y what exactly do you mean? Also I want to print the design cut it then put a layer of clear over it and then cut an outline around the original print so that it is sealed around the edges. How would I go about something like that? Sorry for all the questions the print and cut stuff is all new to me.

Hello all. I have spent alot of time (just ask my wife on here reading and there is a lot of good inforrmation here. Anyhow I just got a MH871 from uscutter and have been playing around the house and doing free stuff for my mom's sporting goods store. I was asked by my father-in-law to design and cut 30 decals for his fishing club. What I came up with is a 6 inch circle with central indiana at the top a bass jumping out of water in the middle and bass club at the bottom. They are going to be made out of oracal 651 in white. They need 30 of them and they will put them on. What kind of price would you guys charge?

I am wanting to put this on my snowplow with a layer of transparent film over the top. I know it probably won't last long but I thought it would be kinda fun to do. I found a few snowmen but I can't find a plow truck that I like. Cartoon type would be fine if anyone can help.

Hi all. A local volunter fire dept is buying new air packs and the want their logo installed on the bottles and the packs. The ones on the bottles are going to have an epoxy coating put over them so they cannot be removed. So my question is what would be the best vinyl for this application. I am very new to this so any and all help is great. Thanks.
