  1. They don't make a clear banner material. Tell him what you CAN DO for him, Don't lose the business because a customer who doesn't know any better wants something that's not out there

  2. St Louis,

If a customer doesn't send the graphic we don't give him a quote. Problem is many of the customers think they know what they're doing. In all actuality they don't and always forget something or think they don't have to consider all the colors.

Never heard of clear Banner, but I don't know everything.

They make a clear, mesh / wire type banner I've seen locally but i have no idea what it's made of or where to get them at. Looks real cheesy and bad to me though.

Why not just buy a 4x8' blank and then charge accordingly for the colors if you can't outsource it

  3. Waaaaaayy too busy. I had no idea where to look first as my eyes seen abuncha black.

Pick up some logo design books, I just ordered 2 by Dan Antonelli off Amazon and they were only $50 shipped for two to show you how to do correct sign layouts and logos.

  4. Better to outsource to a "trade" only supplier.....Also, for coroplast I always get them printed on a flat bed printer for a better result.....Sorry the bubbles when you try and laminate makes for a poor quality product in my mind.....It is a selling point when competing against locals that do not have such equipment.......

If your laminating with bubbles, You need to learn how to laminate correctly. I laminate with a big squeegee and out of 20 prints i will MAYBE have a error in 1 of them. Took some learning but i can do it flawlessly now.

I really don't do many coro signs anymore, If i do it's always one or two. I get $20 single side and $30 double side (well i try). I print mine too anymore.

  5. Dry Ersae vinyl?

IS vinyl not all made equal? I haven't tested it out yet, but is there anything special about this type of vinyl?

Dry erase vinyl is just that, vinyl you can dry erase. Regular vinyl will stain and the markings will not come off.

I just did a quick test with some 3m vinyl I had in my truck. No issue marking it up or off. For now... I have put a piece to the side and wait a few hours and see how well it comes off.

It's not going to stain it in a matter of minutes. Leave it on for a week and see how well it does. Use the right materials for the right uses and you won't have any issues.

Not all vinyl is made equal just like not all cars are and either are cutter brands.

  9. im not worried about uv, i just wanna know if it turns color at all.

thought of going over everything to make it a smoother finish like paint clearcoat.

The vinyl will have air around the overlapped vinyl and look no different than before, maybe even worse.

  10. Your referring to clear CUT VINYL not laminate.

I have no idea why they make clear cut vinyl, i really have no experience using it since it's not really needed IMO. Cut vinyl is UV resistant anyway so why cover it?
