Use rapid tac 2. I have been using that since it's made for cold installs for 5 + years and it always works good. Also, they do say that the temp needs to be a min of X but i have done installs in 30 degree weather outside with no problems. That vehicle actually is still holding up perfectly

To be honest, i tape it on the area, then stand back and look at it. Not all vehicles you can align correctly by measuring the body lines as they sometimes angle. I do wet installs on all vehicle lettering, on windows i tend to sprit the area rather than flood it. I use rapid tac 2 which is the green fluid made for windows and cold temp Wet installs also let you align things multiple times if needed

Pricing is fine man, Don't worry about it. You call 5 shops, you will get 5 prices because EVERYONE prices differently. It's not too much if the customer paid it and already said you were the cheapest.

For 24x36" yard signs i get $30 single and $45 double on 4mm coro. I print mine so color isn't a issue really unless it's full bleed then i laminate them and it's a tad more each.

Magnet and Banner done last night, Door Decal yet to install...

No biggie, We all have been there when we started out. A good thing to go by is the advertising value for the work that you did for them. They get a mobile billboard, 24/7 advertising and a great return investment by getting their vehicle lettered. The reason i charge what i do (and even it's not enough IMO) is break it down, a $200 lettering per truck costs them less than $17 per month if it lasts 1 year. That's cheaper than ANY billboard, placemat or newspaper ad that doesn't work at all. Take it a step further since the lettering lasts longer than that, in 4 years the lettering only costs them less than $5 per month. Talk about a investment for advertising -

Did the Finale of this years Flea Market.... some new stuff I did too

Just because the right person hasn't seen it doesn't mean it's ok. Your sliding by by the skin of your teeth if you haven't been caught. I deny trademark work and perceive my company to not do that type of work because it's not worth it. I never said it's okay, nor implied that. I didn't say you did. I wouldn't display trademarked logos because more than likely that gives the impression you do them. "Hey i want one of those in red"....see? -

Actually i would love to apply to drywall all day everyday. Wall vinyl is SUPER easy to work with. We top hinged the entire graphic at once.

Anyone do business cards? Or where's the best place to get them?
john! replied to xJoey Dubsx's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
Well that was a pretty crappy thing to say when A( You have never seen the quality of any of our work sn you "product" is cheaper than the product I get from Florida which is in fact professionally make and of the highest quality. And that price I quotes is shipped . I was only trying to help not get criticized .Learn some manners pal. Maybe just me but i didn't think he was targeting anyone specifically lol -
To be honest, every job is custom. I don't have a set price as each job entails different aspects. Get a template and the design together and shoot me a message to get something going

Vistaprint cards flat out are cheap looking. I think they print on paper bag material lol -
What material do you print on and such? I would like to be able to do the same thing, Laptops, Xbox, Phones, etc. I wouldn't print anything like this on a home inkjet printer and sell them. It's better to do it right the first time then hoping what you have works out to be honest. All you need to do is get the templates sized up and send to me for printing. I do them all the time for a few people. Trying to keep that Roland fed huh? Can't blame you however at 99 cents plus S&H a pop on eBay I didn't see much benefit in perusing this market. I've been very busy with my Roland lately. Doing wall vinyls cut to shape, cut to shape decals and alot of banners. I printed about 135 square foot of wall vinyls today and 80 square foot of banners last night. Just trying to help my fellow members out cause i know how it is not being able to expand with limited resources. Ebay doesn't scare my to go into markets, I make custom products for customers, not cookie cutter products

You need something with a removable low tack adhesive. I have some in stock I've been doing skins on for a while for laptops. If your interested i can print your skins full color and you wouldn't have to worry about anything. I have a 30" eco-solvent Roland printer. Message me if i can be of further assistance.

Lettering on your personal vehicle for your business, Post it!
john! posted a topic in General discussion
Hey everybody. I had a simple Graphics & Lettering with my phone number on my back window of my car but i recently took it off. I have only gotten 1 call from it and it didn't go through so i was wanting to see what everyone else is doing on their vehicles (mainly cars) I'd rather not lettering my paint beings i use this for personal and business but have thought of wrapping the hood but not sure what impact it would have. Thanks! -
Hey guys, I have a customer wanting their logo 26" x 20' applied onto their wall inside their fitness center. I haven't checked out the wall personally but i was wondering how i should do this job the easiest. It's 20' so i will use 30" Oracal 631 material. Should i do it in 3 or 2 sections? How are you guys handling seams on big installs like this? Also, Can i use medium tack r tape or do i have to use the oracal ht55 tape for the 631? Thanks!

Exactly, Just because you own a printer doesn't cancel out good ol' cut vinyl jobs. I have received the check and ordered the materials today for it. I'll let everyone see the outcome in about 2 weeks since the Holidays are taking up some time.
