did the same thing 4 times the other day. I KNOW I KNOW - stupid but i was also making small changes in between and forgot every time to flip. I was so mad at myself. Trashed it . But i did get a kick out of slice&dice's suggestion. "SDRAWKCAB"

Free Open Office Pricing Calculator
TT57 replied to eashonk's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
Thanks eashonk. great to have. I am new to this and was wondering - not a math expert here- is the table comparable to todays pricing since I noticed you created this in 2009. Would there be a way for you to update the price points for those of us that don't play well with numbers. and repost. I know it is a lot to ask but I could never figure it. Thanks. -
PointofExpression = yes, same thing

Suzy, before you buy a bunch of stuff for it, send a pic to the customer service dept. I just got a cutter a couple of months ago and it did weird stuff also. They finally replaced the cutter because they didn't know what the prob was. Great service. Was resolved quickly also. Got lots of help from this forum but nothing worked. I think it was a bad batch of cutters according to cs.

Scal cuts SVG's but can it cut an EPS ( i don't know the diff, i was just asked the question ) Do they have to be converted or what? My son wants to send me EPS but i told him i needed the SVG. Any suggestions. He sent me both which he can do but for some reason he prefers EPS. Thanks

k thanks. will investigate. son will be happy.

what are you using to hold the banner in place while applying the graphics. That is my issue. Although i have only done one, i swore not to do another but i have a friend wanting one. If i can figure out that part i might be ok. -
33 Banners to make, need help pricing.

congrats on the new Graphtec. i enjoyed and learned alot reading this one post. I basically am just playing around with my SC right now but have been asked to do a banner for a girl scout group so really needed to read about pricing. I DEFINITELY UNDERPRICED but it will be my first and for a friend also and a good cause. -YUM _ Cookies. From what i am reading on simple banners, price approx. sq ft of banner size times $6.50 for total cost. This includes whatever is on the banner as far as wording goes or graphic if simple??? So- 2x6=12 x $6.50 = $78 total cost. right?? thanks. -
she is cutting great. i knew it should not have been that hard to figure out. Happy Camper now.

Can you please tell me what i am doing wrong. Using SC series. NEW -SCAL PRO Yesterday, i cut a few logos whereas one came out good and the other 2 were off. My origninal problem was blade too deep but i have that fixed. Now everything is off. I have played with the tracking today but now see what i get. Even from the beginning my letters weren't cutting correct clean cuts. I thought i would use the pen because i have wasted too much vinyl.

ok, I am back. The cutting strip was NOT the problem but they tried. ANYWAY, the techs are baffled at the performance and are REPLACING my machine. I do have to say that USCutter has awesome customer service. Quick to the phone and emails. They sent me all that is needed in email to ship it to their service center so they can examine it. It has them baffled too. I am pleased with the outcome. I get to go get my new one -we have a USC - distribution in town - today. !!!!! Thanks everyone for your input and I will check back when I actually get to cut something.

hey Rodger, not a techy person so get that straight right off. BUT, without buying a keyspan, would using the serial port cord be a better connection? Is it possible that that is the reason i get an error message i posted about ealier about cutter not being found when in fact i just finished a cut? hhhmmm But i would need a longer cable than what came with it. I just bought a 10 usb - maybe should have gone the other route

Is there a way to calibrate the SC cutter? If so, please explain how. That is all i can figure left to do before i take it back.
-
hey, just updating. USC is sending me a new cutting bar. they had me move the start position to a diff spot and see how that did. It cut clean. (of course) I thought i had tried that but we will see. Talked to them today and already got a confirmtion on shipment. I am hoping that is the issue. Keep your fingers crossed. Will update when i get it .

OK, USCutter is sending me a new cut strip. They said that should be the issue. Well, write that down in the books. At least it is a lesson learned for someone else. Hopefully it will do the job. Will def keep you all updated since you have helped me not stress too much. Just makes me mad to only have it 2 wks and this happens.

Rodger, yes pinch rollers over grit rollers, yes, vinyl unrolled, blade in position and tight. I do have a email into tech support and waiting on new reply. They asked for pics. Your calibration answer was informative. That would not be the issue then. thanks I am just stumped that one day it cut, although my rollers were not tight enough so i had an issue with tracking but then the next day it is all off. Confusing??????

Rodger, I am using SCAL Pro- . Even when I select the "test" button on the cutter, it still cuts and draws/plots badly. I posted a pic in another thread if that would be helpful. I am not on that comp. any longer so can't repost pic. sorry. I think it would help to see it. Would I be able to calibrate in SCAL ? Thank you for your help

everything is tight. i have only had it 2 wks. Only cut about 4 things and some of that was off but i figured my wheels needed tightening for that.
-
everything was tight and looked good. does anyone know the manufacturer settings. Maybe to go back to that? I will def be calling USC tomorrow. Is there online support where they can go in and fix online thru my comp.?

hey Pcrat, i am using a usb. It is better since USC sent me driver although i thought i had already loaded it. Still does it but not as much
