Are you joking? If it's plugged in the voltage can damage the card and your motherboard. You can leave it plugged in as long as you turn the switch on the power supply off. It will still be grounded this way but not have voltage on the motherboard. I prefer to unplug it entirely and ground myself to the case. This way I can't accidentally bump the switch.

I respect religious freedom. Some people take it too far. Bible thumpers are the ones giving others of the same faith a bad name. Maybe I chose the wrong term and should have said Christian extremists.

Couple of easy questions I guess

I use 100% silicon grease, mine is made for divers but other brands may work. I now buy my blades from seikitech as the price to quality ratio works best for me. -
I don't ever put anything remotely political or religious on my vehicle. I have seen a number of broken windows and damaged paint jobs locally. If you really want a damaged vehicle around here all you need to do is put something pro evolution. You would think Bible thumpers would be a little less cutthroat. No offense to anyone because I respect all religions and political views.

The blade should barely be visible. It should cut thru the vinyl but only make an indentation on the backing sheet. Mz Skeeter has helped hundreds of people with this same problem. If you cut into the strip and it has bumps and gouges you will most likely need to replace it. Any irregularities will cause variations in the cutting depth in those areas. You may cut into that backing in the high areas and not cut thru the vinyl in low areas. You can also add some overcut in your software to help finish cuts. I would start small at .04 inch overcut and add more if needed. I think my old Mh721 needed .06 for best results.

Just remember to unplug the computer and wait a few minutes before installing the card. You don't want to destroy your motherboard.

The fact that it happens after the first set of decals makes me think it's because he needs to reset the origin on the cutter between jobs. If he doesn't the cutter will go back to the starting point of the first set of decals. This material has been removed so the material will fall out.
-
Thanks slice. I haven't used an MH cutter in forever. I vaguely remember reset or origin helping me with a similar problem but it wasn't SCALP specific.
-
Are you pressing the origin button on your cutter after each cut?

http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php?/topic/48656-cutter-cutting-decals-slightly-too-large/ Hopefully this will help. It's the opposite of your problem but the same concept.

I just made these, they are not perfect and are very basic but maybe you can make them work. The top set has sharp corners and the bottom set has rounded corners. I have not test cut these designs. kysign-zboat.eps kysign-zboat.svg

It looks hacked to me. Several of the designs link to other sites with the .nl domain extension.

It works now. Thank you.

What do you get for $30 -- VinylMaster Basic 'upgrade' for US CUTTER users

I only use full rolls but I still like the polling feature. I keep the pinch roller and media sensors on my graphtec enabled. The polling feature is nice because it gives me the exact size available. I sell my scraps. -
Graphtec FC8600 Contour Cut Alignment Issues
KYSIGN replied to dtdm's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Support Requests
zxcvb It's probably the gloss surface causing a false reading. You can try putting a piece of matte finish scotch tape over the marks. I have never needed to do this myself but I read that it can help. -
631 works great. I recommend you use the HT55 application mask since it's specially designed for 631. Paint can be tricky. If it's got stain or scuff resistant additives it probably won't adhere easily if at all. Some of the low voc paint is the same. You could successfully install the decal only to find it fell off overnight. You should also wait until the paint has fully cured. I recommend a minimum of 3 weeks.

Thanks to you both. Here is the direct link for those on mobile.

I have never cut that brand of HTV before. Make sure you slow your cut speed down and increase your force. You may need to increase the amount of blade depending on thickness of material. My old Mh721 could cut Siser easyweed at 120g but someone else with the same machine may have a different setting. The pressure settings vary from machine to machine even within the same model.

Creation Cutter Buttons Don't always work
KYSIGN replied to jmeimerstorf@gmail.com's topic in Creation PCUT Cutting Plotter Support Requests
Is one of the buttons stuck? Try rubbing them. Hopefully that will work until you can get a replacement. -
I thought the post in the feedback section was a joke at first. I laughed so hard I got cramps.

It looks great. How long did this take start to finish?

UsCutter...customer service what a freaking JOKE

The entire series of posts was hilarious. My favorite was where they corrected the use of you're vs your and then proceeded to use it incorrectly themselves in their next post. Good stuff. -

expenses, bottom, you're, doesn't, work I probably missed something but that's enough. You bought a cutter in 2009 which lasted until recently and you got support well after the warranty expired. You bought a used cutter online and expect them to help you set it up? That's ridiculous. -

This is comedy gold.
