  1. Using vinylmaster cut, and it won't change speed or force. Cuts on glitter look like crap. Not sure how to make VM control the cutter properly. I know this is user error, but need some help. I am using the HPGL language, but when I put the speed in VM - the speed the cutter shows as it cuts is not remotely close. Changing the speed from the highest to the lowest - makes absolutely no difference on the cutter. Help please.

    CE5000-120

Not really - it sticks as well as the glitter normally sticks. Just isn't cutting for a damn.

I'm hoping someone can help. Edge Lit Base

    CE5000-120

It's funny - my wifes Silhouette is cutting it like a champ. I have used a regular CC 60, and a 60M for the heavier material. Still can't get it to cut right. I killed about $50 worth of glitter messing with it. Finally gave up. I have cut the white and silver no problems, this aqua is killing me. I needed to replace my cutting strip, I really ripped it up on this one. Maybe that is my problem. Once replaced - I will give it another go.

Siser HTV Glitter - looks great, but a pain to cut and weed. I read somewhere the Specialty Materials stuff works well, they are based here in Tulsa. I am going to have to try to mess with it.

You know that is how I initially setup my blades - but so many places I read half a credit card depth. Well that was wrong. I will say - this glitter is a bitch to cut!!!

I did set my blade at half credit card depth. I tried the speed really slow - like 2 and got the same damn problems. I will try again.

I know this pic looks like crap, but I can't get a good pic of the aqua glitter - uck. Anyway - doing the same thing. Only on the tighter corners, Using the cutting controller. I tried force between 15 and 20, with speed in the same ranges. I can get the test cut to look great, but then I start cutting and it goes to hell. New Clean Cut 60 blade.

    CE5000-120

It only works on condition 9 right? The tangential works only on condition 1 thru 8. What a pain.

So you run Cutting Controller - and then just use VM to send the file to the cutter?

    Branson or Bentonville areas?

Yes it is - also hosting a 16U USSSA World Series in July.
  14. Is anybody using a solvent printer like a SP-300 for HTV? If you are, I would love to order a transfer from you. My wife is interested in a solvent printer - but we want to see how well they work before making the leap.

    Solvent Printer on Siser ColorPrint

You mean the clear transfer tape for it? I happen to have bought a roll. Do you do any different camo? Either red and white, royal blue, and yellow, pink and black - in digital camo? I would love to order a piece from you and mess around with how it looks on a shirt - something to mess with. PM me a price and how you want me to pay you. I am pretty easy.

    Prayers for mr 300's

I had never came to the off topic section until today and I saw this. I lurked here for a few years trying to learn things and make good decisions. He always seemed very knowledgeable, and helpful. Seems like this forum, and his community lost a great guy. Condolences to his family and friends.

    My newest used toy

Picked it up used today - I love my Stahls auto open clam, but I want the flexibility of the fusion.

    My newest used toy

I honestly thought the STX20 was heavier, and the 14x16 DKnight was definitely heaver.

    My newest used toy

This was a sign shop, that bought it 2 years ago. Just didn't get into the thing they were doing, and needed space. I paid 1350 with a 6x8 secondary platen. Cool thing is that will fit my STX 20 too. LOL. He said if it had pressed 200 shirts he would be surprised. Looking at it I believe him. Really happy with my find. I scour CL every day for things to take a look at.

    Cuffs

Has anyone sublimated the cuffs. I ordered mine from jds. They seem thin according to my wife. She wants something thicker. Anybody have experience with these?

    Cuffs

No handcuffs, nor cufflinks. I mean these

    Cuffs

I am talking about the metal cuffs - I am talking about thickness, not width.

Help with what to buy for startup

Spend some time and look used. I bought a used CE5000-120 for 1k, a Stahls STX-20 for 900, and a Geo Knight 14x16 for 350. I had bought the Geo Knight to get started, and a nearly new Stahls showed up - we love it so much we have never turned the Knight on.
