  1. I have a family member who wants twenty five 18 x 24 political signs printed or done in vinyl (whichever is cheaper) asap.  They found 20 signs online for $140.  Just to buy greenstar vinyl and application tape I am over $100.  Plus coraplast and the sign stands.  Because this is a family member, I was going to have them buy all the materials and give them to me.  I don't really want to do the labor for free plus get stuck with the bill for materials.  I haven't had time to really research what the going rate for printed signs are but, is $7 reasonable?  I don't want them to get ripped off but, they are the ones who waited until two weeks before election to do this.

I am kinda getting back into the swing of things.  I have been off this forum for a long time!

  2. Hi Everyone!

I have not been active on this board for quite a long time due to my husband and I moving, getting my space set up and back into the swing of things.  A lot of what I do is glass etching and sometimes is really small text or graphic.  I did some research on here and saw a lot of people talking about http://www.cleancutblade.com/ so I figured I would try them out.  I called and talked to Ross who was awesome and gave me all kinds of tips and told me to call him with any questions as I would now be changing my overcut, offset and pressure settings.  I was so impressed with the customer service he provided.  I ordered 2 Roland ZECU 60* blades.  I got them really fast (I have had them a few weeks but have just now been able to try them out).  I am sold!  I cannot believe

that not one piece of vinyl lifted.  I cut all text at .518 tall using monotype corsiva, Oracal 641 and a PCUT 630.  Even the dot on the eye stayed in place.  I haven't ever had that happen!  Thanks to everyone who was recommending them.

  3. Just wondering.  I have new niece on the way and I want to make her onesies in every size that say "Aunt Sabrina is my Favorite".  I have two brothers and two sisters so this is gonna be pretty funny.  Anyway I just got a new catalog from Sign Warehouse and this material caught my eye because it is pretty economical..........if it really works. I will be using a Rowenta Iron but, it worked for Siser so I figure it would work for something that claims it is thinner.  Here is the link.  Thanks everyone!!

  4. Love it & the distressed font looks perfect for it.

BTW, Please tell your husband THANK YOU, for all he is doing to protect & insuring our freedom !!

I will second that.  Service men and women choke me up just thinking about what they are giving up for all of us.  What a huge commitment.  Someone hung something up at my work about service men and women, I can't remember exactly what it said something like signing a check up to and including their life.  That just really made me think.

  5. I got them off amazon http://www.amazon.com/Can-Koozies-Neoprene-CHOICE-COLORS/dp/B0027FJITU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1251934885&sr=8-2  That was the best price I found for the nice neoprene ones without buying 500.  Hopefully someone on here has found a better deal because these where super easy and I would love to do more but, I bought a dozen and they ended up being around $30 with shipping and handling.

Thanks for all the nice comments!!  :)

  6. I don't have a heat press so I used my Rowenta iron on the wool/silk setting for about 5 seconds pulled the plastic off then went back over it with just parchment paper over it.  It worked very well.  The biggest thing was not moving the iron.  Once I set it down I lifted straight off I didn't move the iron around.
