I wish I knew where that was, so I could apply a "FAIL" decal!
-
I would say it relates to your cutter settings more so than the vinyl brand you use...

Is the year supposed to be 2009
Excellent welding and graphics
I saw that too...Other than that, it looks great!!!

I've cut both cardstock and clear acetate sheets for stencils. The acetate was tricky...I used paper app tape as a backing...But i weakened the adhesive first (applied it to cloth a few times).

cheeky...Did you do this job for bartered goods

I prefer "TaterSalad"...
Welcome back...

My FT job consists of constant rush jobs, we even have the "hot rush" and "super hot rush" now...It is a monster we created! We live in a world of instant gratification and no one can wait for anything. All that it does is create a lazy customer who waits until the last minute to get things rolling...
I always take care of friends ASAP...They are the ones who keep you in mind and help spread the word. And I rely on word of mouth for the most part. Everyone else get 1 "get out of jail free" card, then its tough titty. If someone randomly comes to you with a rush, it could mean someone else got tired of their BS, and it got to the point where their business wasn't worth it...
The straw that broke my back was a customer that would rush me on design work like there was a gun to their head. Then disappear for a month and reappear with the need for a finish product in a day or 2. Then they'd wait until they needed something else (in a rush), and call me with, "Oh, and I still owe you money, right"...Almost like, do this rush and I'll pay you for the last rush...
They gave me a lot of work, but burned me out and made me hate what I do...Dropping them gave me the focus I needed to really get things going!

Looks like they finished the number in a grimey brush font, out of some yellow transparent vinyl...

I think he means more to protect it from getting chipped edges from job site wear and tear and then someone eventually cutting themselves on it. Sort of a bumper.
Having trouble finding U channels at a good price...

Good thinking...I am just worried about the .25" thickness, but thats probably close to a doors thickness.
-
Ok, I just did a few acrylic signs for a job site (36x30). The buyer saw them and liked them, but requested something to cap the edges. To prevent a worker from cutting his hand and suing. Silly, we know, but he has had a few bad experiences with workmans comp and suing. The acrylic is .25" thick. I bought some vinyl tubing and acrylic sealant, then slit the tubing and adhered it to the edge...It works but is pretty ghetto.
Anyone have any ideas for something better? Thanks.

I've been meaning to try this one...I know a few ppl here like it. I enjoy working out my own pricing, shirts aren't that hard to price. But it's great to have a program to compare against...Or to have to give a quick rough estimate.
Great to have you here Mark! I look forward to using your software.
This is one of the friendliest, down to earth forums out! You'll find that out soon enough (if not already).

Been there, done that (forgetting to reverse)...But I am cured.
Great use of 2 colors!

I love the Ed Hardy/Sailor Jerry style panther!!! Great work on them all!

Thanks!!! I went with the vinyl sign plug in, but I should've went with the heat transfer. I believe I have 14 days to switch.

Place the second image (the shape you want cut out of the rectangle) where you want it on top of the rectangle...Select both objects and go to Window=> Pathfinder (or "shift + F9" shortcut) and then click the "trim" button.

So, do these shirts exist and you mocked them for web display? Or are they mockups for a print?
