  1. Speedoggy,

As soon as the job is finished the memory should be cleared.

Do not know if the MH machine has different working concerning memory clearance

If you send a simple 5 x 5 cm square the memory may not be filled that much.

I know someone else also bought a keyspan and was confused buy the way the connectors on the keyspan.

    Paco

some people purchase chips and upgrade them.  on the Refines.   I personally dump mine every time. But I do very large graphics  10-16 ft long. Some of these people are doing smaller stuff.

  2. Signcut is only cutting software,  you have to make your design in the design software you are using. Such as Illustrator, Corel or inkscape.  Then send to Signcut to cut.

  3. I'm back.

First off I got my keyspan in the mail today    Before I started l to load signblazer on my other computer I thought I would give it a try.

Took it out of the package, put in the CD to install the driver.  Good so far.  Driver installed.  Instructions said to plug USB into computer first.  Did that.  Then attach the keyspan part, did that.  Then tried to plug it into my machine.  The end was wrong   Started reading in the instructions again about may have to buy an adapter to plug into the equipment.  Well ******.

Ok, so I get over this and think I'll try just the cord because it looked like the same one I already had and plugged up like the one I had.

Guess what, it has worked on every cut.  I did cut one design then cut a second one without even having to unplug the USB from my computer.  I cut some more then tried to cut the same thing without uplugging it didn't work this time but when I unplugged and plugged back in worked again.  I think I have found my solution to my problem.  I will however get the adapter for my COM port but for now I can cut. :) :) :) :) :)

thanks for your help and time Paco.  When all else fails replace the cord.

I'll keep you posted if for some reason I have any more problems.

    Kim

something else you should be doing is, turning off or unplugging between several cuts. Or else you are just putting data on top of data and filling up the memory and then running out of memory. which will cause this also.  Those cutters don't have much memory.

  4. you contact, their copyright legal team and apply for a license, if they are willing to put more licenses out there,  which can be as high as $50,000 or more and prove that you can sell a certain quota (millions of dollars) worth of product a year, and must maintain a quota. And when you are selling products from large companies like Harley products, you're purchasing the authorized licensed products from Harley and reselling them.  Not just making them on your cutter and saying they are are Harley, all designs bearing a Harley design would be preapproved thru the Harley Davidson company.

  5. Can this be caused by not having a groud?

I have bolted the cutter to the stand it came with, do I need a groud wire to go from the cutter to the stand as well?

yes, you should have a ground wire running from the cutter to a stand screw , that has the paint scraped off a bit.  but it has nothing to do with  the vinyl lifting.  Have you tired different vinyl.?  and blade barely out.  you are only cutting about 3Mm  which isn't much.  Should barely be able to see the blade.

  6. NO.   and I don't know what you mean,     sounds like your workspace isn't big enough or something if it''s cutting it.   I don't use the Cutting Master.  I just have it.  I use Flexistarter8.6  much easier.  You can import many different file formats with Flexistarter,  not just send them from Illy,

you have not posted the .ai file

After looking at your signiture, I can't import CS4,   too new

  7. use inkscape.org   Free software

This walk through explains the basics of vectorising in Inkscape.

Step 1) Import your image. Click File>Import, find your file and click OK.

Step 2) Select the image, go to the top of the screen, click Path>Trace Bitmap.

Step 3) The Trace Bitmap menu will then open. Here you can select how you want your image vectorised and adjust the settings. You can also generate a preview. Once you are happy with the preview click OK and close the Trace Bitmap screen.

Step 4) Now you will have your new vector image and the old raster (bitmap, jpeg, gif etc) image stacked on top of each other. Seperate the two and delete the raster.

Step 5) Play around with your new vector image!
