  1. I may be jumping the gun, but, I received my new plotter a GC-721 goldcut. I got it before my vinyl order showed up so I installed the plotter pen and started my trial and error. I first ran the test function before connecting to my computer. drew the star w/ a box around it... didn't close the box.. now I am connected to SB trial and have done some simple text, and again doesn't close 1/2 the characters or more. I run the SB test sample, again its not closing everything.. Where do I look to correct this? or should I wait until I try to cut vinyl? if it doesn't plot continuous I dint see how it will cut differant..

Settings on my machine are: cut speed 165mms cut press 130g up-speed 120mms and baud 9600, Any help would be great, I will be VERY disappointed if I have to re-cut all my work by hand everytime.

    Thanks

what driver did you use for your setup?  JUst curious

you may find your solution here.  download on first page,

  2. Yes I am.  read the Newbie Manual.  which is what I just gave you.  Also why download the Flexi driver pack if your going to use the Roland driver?  try using  the driver for the cutter you bought. listed under  USCutter.  .

  3. the font has a 2  circles on it, and other weird stuff in it.  It needs to be welded because lines are crossing on it.   That is the way the font is made.

It is just the font parchment   capital B,, once you zoom it, you can see all the weird stuff on it.

  4. let's start here,   Did you download the font  Parchment?    Are you just typing the font capital B in pachment on your screen in Signblazer?   Then trying to cut it in Signblazer?  This font really needs to be larger than 4" to make a good design,  It is very detailed.

  5. your files will need to be saved to an older version such as version 8 .eps.   Signblazer has not been updated for years, as owner passed away a few years ago. So is older software.  and make sure your files are vector files, not raster,  such as jpeg or bitmap,

  6. are you sure your com ports are all matching?  In Signcut, and device manager?    You could submit a ticket and have US Cutter  do a remote and check your computer.    Better do it quick,  it is the weekend.  Are you sure you have the correct drivers downloaded?  You can find them in support at top of page.

  7. you cannot run your cutter thru a hub. It has to be direct from computer to cutter.  get a Keyspan adapter,  that is the brand name.   that is a secure tight connection.  and  I have read to connect to the back  com port .  more power,, the best thing is have your cutter on a dedicated computer, with nothing else connected to it. You can still purchase XP older units that work great.
