I believe Signblazer, is limited into what types of files it can import,, This is a free software mind you,,, and cannot to date be improved. as the owner passed away a while back. I don't have either machine,, but I do believe the PCUT and the LP are the same machine, just that the laser point has the laser for contour cut, there is a manual for it there. just disregard the info on the laser.. As you have the machine and I don't, it does have pictures. you can tell if it looks like your machine.

also on the main CUTTING screen> POSTION below SEND NOW... O.OOO in ON BOTH those lines. no reason to move them.. start at right corner hit origin.

why does your rectangle look like perforated lines? Should not be. They should be solid lines all connected. jpg 3 unclick where it says USE SAME DRIVER OPTIONS FOR ALL COLOR ..... CLICK at the top where it says SEND ALL COLORS JPG 4 unclick optimize cutting order,, you can do that with the tiling, It does not cut across your design,, it just advances from bottom top, I use it all the time..

anybody else with Flexi care to jump in and see why his cutter is crashing to the left.. I am out of options.

I have Flexi 8.5 so this may be in a different place,, but in the options tab, Do you have SEND ALL COLORS CLICKED it should be.

have you tried instead of wireframe in the FILL/STROKE EDITOR (the box that says wireframe) just clicking NO FILL?,, instead of SOLID/ and clicking WIREFRAME

I don't know what is causing your crash,, but you have to have it on wireframe to cut a single color... can you show me other pictures, like pictures when you open your tabs? ,, where the weeding is, and the other options.. advanced tabs etc.

also in the upper right corner, where it shows the square of black, with white around it, is not right, It should be solid black, not have a little outline of white around it. that is showing 2 colors, white and black,,

if you are going to cut the outline of that rectangle.....You have to have it on wireframe.. If you don't . your Flexi is telling your cutter to cut the solid black

It HAS to be on wire frame you are cutting outlines... that is what wireframe is... i have used Flexi for over 3 years, and would never change

something I did notice,, you do not have it on wireframe when you send to your cutter.. at least that picture is not.. when it it on wireframe the original design in the layout screen behind the production manager will not show black. it will be an outline of the rectangle only. no solid color.. only when you are cutting different color for layers. Do you always do that? I did that once by accident and it tried to cut everything that was black, not the outline, but the entire rectangle, what a mess. and I'm sure that would drive your cutter nuts sending all that data. . Is that the way you are sending to your cutter? Also you did not state whether it is trying to cut the outline at all., or is it just crashing to the left and hitting the kill switch?

did you clean the window real good? like with alcohol? What type/kind of vinyl?

I really don't see any problems,, everything looks ok, you stated : In Flexi production manager the media size is conservatively set at 22" by 1800". It would be reasonable to expect that his setting alone should keep Flexi from driving the cutter beyond the edge of the 24" media and into the side wall of the cutter. this media size has nothing to do with the cutting head moving. it has to do with tiling your project,, If your design would be say 24" wide it would make a tile for the other 2" If you set your media size to 11" wide. it would then be 2 tiles. on a 22" wide design,, Have you tried a serial cable to usb. ? You may need to.. it may be too much data going at one time when you go to the bigger designs.. Sorry, I can't help you any more?

I roll them, I do large vehicle graphics that have 2 sides, I lay one on top the other and roll them, my larger boxes are 24" x 6" x6" or 30" x 6" x 6" I can loosely roll them and they fit great. And my customers have no problems with them being too tight or creased. I also purchase smaller sizes,, Uline has it all,

I never use tubes... and I sell graphics 28" wide x up to 12ft long mirrored sides ... buy boxes,, Just personally I would not want my decals/ graphics, rolled that tight to fit in a tube. There are plenty of companys that sell all sizes to fit your needs. www.uline.com is a very good one.

yes, but going back and reading Banner Johns recipe, he used the alcohol version of the windshield washer fluid, INSTEAD of the alcohol, Scottboy used both ,, windhshield washer fluid AND alcohol. does that make a difference?

most have antifreeze in it.. so this banner will not freeze LOL I just looked at my bottle it says it has antifreeze in it.

WOW, I have never seen windshield washer fluid in app spray,, I have seen numerous recipes, but NEVER that one.

something else to try,, enter something on your layout screen, click> cut/plot, upper left hand corner below your cutter brand is a bar that says PROPERITES.,, click it> screen changes to default job properties, there is a picture of a blade/knife/ AT TOP. click it> screen changes> where it says PACKET SIZE, erase what ever is there and enter 1000 kb,, theN on quality below, change to medium click apply and ok,

show a picture of your cutting screen, when you have the dimensions set as you say, this will help. just use a camera and take a picture of your monitor. up load to the forum, at lower left of message box is ADDITIONAL OPTIONS,, upload there. ALSO,.. the cutter cuts from right to left, are you moving the carriage head to the far right and hitting the origin button, before you send to cut.

Well just use what you like the best... but I would save as an .ai file and try that when you cut next time
