At the top of your main screen is HELP, click it,, and Help topics. I think you should learn how to use your software before you advance any further,, that is the first step. Offset is explained there.
-
ok, have you tried typing something else, right on your Flexi layout screen and sending it to cutter.... is it smooth? If it has snags, it sounds like your offset, or overcut
-
good for you
-
the right direction would be learning www.inkscape.org. free software and plenty of info and videos on the inkscape thread in the forum. You really need to learn this if you are going to be doing vinyl.

Program for MH 721
MZ SKEETER replied to ashjsouth's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Discussion
You can download and use Signblazer Elements Is free, you can find the thread right and download, here on the forum. -
also make sure your security (anti virus) software is turned off while you are downloading.
-
maybe if you can post some pictures of your screens, maybe some one can see something, that your overlooking.
-
Graphtec, you will not be sorry with this machine
-
Did you vectorize that in inkscape or did you type it on the inkscape screen?, If you vectorized it, the letters will not be smooth,, all fonts/lettering should be replaced with actual typed text. Do you know what font that is?
-
post the file as .eps I only use Flexistarter, and my text is smooth. and I enter it right on my Flexi screen,, with the text button, and I don't convert anything to curves.
-
NOT sure about offset? You have to set your offset. Before you can do any type of job.. It does not matter what the job is. You have to run your test cuts and get your offset done first. When did you get the software? what cutter?.

new here and need some help getting my plotter to work
MZ SKEETER replied to orlandofldeals's topic in Introductions
If you would download the Signblazer elements with the full loaded cutters, I think you would have better luck, it does have your cutter listed in it. I would uninstall the version you have and install the fully loaded version .. Your picture is showing you are using Refine full cutter version is in this thread http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php/topic,21665.0.html -
Is it Flexi PRO or Flexistarter? Maybe post your work, have you checked your offset?, and what cutter?
-
why aren't you just making the text in Flexi? You don't need corel to do simple test,, or any text, If you have Flexi pro, that is your design software. So why would you use Corel? Are you sure you have the Flexi pro or Flexi starter?

yeah rah!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tearing up edges
MZ SKEETER replied to quick5pnt0's topic in Creation PCUT Cutting Plotter Support Requests
then why is this not advertised as such?, You are not letting the public know that they are getting a machine that will only run fast and cannot run slow and do detailed designs. Without having a chip replaced, that you may or may not have? Where is the BEWARE notice? As a fellow member stated,, DO you only drive on the highway? These new people should be given the info , so they can make a better comparison to a Refine product or another machine that will fit their needs. . NOT after they have purchased the product, then find out. "OH by the way, Your machine only runs fast". I think full disclosure should be made here and in the US CUTTER ads. my 2c -

I don't know who told you that , but here is the Flexi starter Mac version for $119.00 If you are wanting the Pro version, you need to expect to spend big bucks for that anyway. http://cgi.ebay.com/MAC-Flexi-Starter-8-5-vinyl-cutter-Flexistarter-SIGN_W0QQitemZ270481964357QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Software? hash=item3ef9fb3d45 http://cgi.ebay.com/MAC-and-PC-FlexiStarter-8-5-vinyl-cutter-Flexistarter_W0QQitemZ280419236821QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Software?hash=item414a49fbd5

well. you can see for yourself whether you think the software is ez to learn,, You can download Signblazer from right here on the forum, it is a a free software, look in the Sign Blazer thread. also for learning to vectorize images from raster to vector, you can download free software for that and try it, www.inkscape.org. there is plenty of info and videos on the inkscape thread to walk you right thru it. Now how great is FREE?,, and you learn on your own schedule.
-
you can only import the SBD file if you have Sign Blazer anyway, just like other software programs cannot import the .FS files of Flexi they are only limited to the specific signware programs.. whereas .eps .ai are common files.
-
Thanks, I downloaded it,, no problems at all.

very nice and unique, I like it, good job.
