I know this is not your answer, but as an experiment,you could download the trial version of SigncutPro. It is good for a week per email address, See if it works correctly there. Just export an, .eps file out of Signblazer and use it,. You will know it is not your cutter then. Just a thought to get you going. A different software and driver.

personally, I don't either, but what do I know. But have you tired a different Roland driver in Signblazer? Maybe the Roland Pnc1000 it is a generic driver. Or some others.

find the user manual for your cutter. My Graphtec operates from the cutter, OR a software program, You have to switch it. I don't know anything about the Roland. You will probably have to look thru the cutter menu, on the cutter it's self, so it knows where it is getting it's commands from.

You should be able to use the Roland setup in Signblazer. Try Roland Pnc1000. It is a generic driver Your cutter has to be on HP-GL to use Signblazer, If it is like my Graphtec it should have HP-GL for regular software, and GP-GL which is for the CutStudio Roland program. What sells is creative, imagination. something no one else has done, or come up with. you have to create your own niche' That is expressed widely on this forum. I'm not worried about your questions. I run a business, and change up items all the time, I give my customers variety, Look thru some vinyl ads on EBAY, don't copy, but I'm sure you could get some ideas of your own, create something with your own ideas. my2c

blade offset is trial and error, go one direction, if it goes worse, go the other direction, you have to tune it in

adjust your blade offset. if you are marking the backing paper of the vinyl, your blade is out too far, adjust it in, slow your cutter down, if running fast,

I tried your file also, there is nothing there.. I will try again. Tried in Illy and Flexistarter, nothing there.

Ok,,Mac8.5 is all I have ever seen, but thought maybe recently they might have an 8.6, who knows. Thanks

Right click on the desktop Icon, then left click on Properties. Change the Target from ending in sb.exe to sbnt.exe, then click Apply, then OK.- This is to keep the software from trying to Update. To keep the registration screen from popping up every time, just fill it out and click OK. Cancel out of the browser window that pops up, adn click OK.

then I stand corrected, thanks. Does the case on the outside,say Mac 8, and the disc 8.6? Probably just added some more cutters to it. But I don't see contour cutting on it. Flexistarter for windows 8.6v2 added contour cutting, and so does Flexistarter 10,

Most cutters all set up the same way. And operate the same way. There is a lot of great info in the Newbie manual. Other great info in these folders, drivers etc. http://support.uscutter.com/

So, what are you planning on using for design software? Flexistarter is mainly cutting software.

If you had a newer updated software, you might be able to pull that off. But Signblazer has not been updated for several years, as the owner passed away several years ago. The imported files have to even be a version 8.eps. I don't even upgrade computers, I purchase used XP , because they are more stable. THat is all I run on. And you can still get great deals on used XP on Ebay, even with a serial port. Put in a support ticket to UScutter. maybe they can remote you.

this will not answer your question. but best to put it on the XP machine and leave it there. Much more stable. It needs to be on a dedicated computer anyway. So your not unplugging and plugging in all the time, That causes it to jump com port numbers. Every time you plug in the USB, you are assigning it a new number, because it thinks the other one is in use. And yes, you can purchase a USB to serial. for your computer with no serial. A Keyspan Adapter works the best.
