Mr300s Do they have pre-made stuff? I am looking into trying out some. I have done vinyl on shirts and also some jpss from my wf1100 but never tried the plastisols. What is the differnce with the plastisols and the jpss?
Thanks,

Wow you can tell that I haven't been able to be around much. I didn't realize fivestar wasn't on here anymore.

I agree it depends on where you are at. With him giving you the material that is harder to quote. I would go by so much a sq ft. I haven't done one so I would have to call around to see how much other places charge.

I have searched on here and under clip art and all I can find is an ax in a stump. I am looking for basically just a stump by itself for a tree stump company.
Thank you!

I am not sure about "peel n etch" vinyl. I do glass etching and I just use scrap vinyl I have laying around for my stencils. Otherwise if you are looking for frosted vinyl I know Signwarehouse sells that.

this is where the pricing gets confusing for me. When I first started people were saying that they charge around .10 to .12 cents a sq inch for one color then you go up so much per color. Now it is looking like some are charging .10 or less for up to 4 colors including a design if they are charging 35 each? Is there a different way people are figuring it now?
Thanks,

How are you figuring your price? Just per job or so much a square inch per color? I am doing a decals for a trailer now and not sure how to bid it. It seems like pricing has gone down with the economy and don't want to over charge either.

Hey Mike thanks for the help. It wasn't done in corel draw but in Sign Blazer. It was before I learned how to add font into my font folder so I am sure it is a basic one. I think it looks like Groudy Bold and Baskerville but then when you look at the numbers it is a bit different?

Okay this may sound bad but here it goes. I made up a logo and I shadowed the font and then combined it. Now a year later someone is asking me what font I used. I select it and double click on it and instead of the font window coming up it does node edit. Is there a way to find out what font I used with out going threw every font and seeing if it lines up? I use SBE.
Thanks,

Okay nevermind. I found where I could go into the options and change it

Thanks ClawGFX but I don't have the plain paper option just the ones I state above. Would I use the Premium presentation paper matte then?

Looking at my print options in my workforce 1100 there is ultra premium photo paper glossy, premium photo glossy, photo paper glossy, premium photo paper semi-glossy and premium presentation paper matte. Which would I choose the last one because it is matte?
Thank you,

Thanks. I am using the ink that came with the workforce 1100. The picture I printed didn't have yellow in it but thank you for letting me know that for future refrence. Where do I change those at?
Okay so plain paper and photo quality..Got it. You guys are great.

Thanks I will have to give that a try tomorrow. What do you have your printer setting at for the paper type when printing a JPSS? like matte paper?

I have had a hard time trying to find out what to charge also. I have even called other places around me to find out what their rates are. Here is my issue. They all screenprint and don't do the vinyl so most can't do a design that they don't have a screen for already, and the price of the screen isn't worth buying unless you are doing a good quanity. (I am not sure if the quality of screen printing is better then vinyl and that is why they don't do vinyl?)Most have run around 22 here for the screen printing so I do about 15 to 18 depending on the quanity and complexity of the design of course.

What temp did you heat your press to before pressing? I did one shirt and for some reason just the left part didn't seem to go on good. It was a bit cracked looking. I know I have an older press so it could be due to pressure on that side not being the same although I have had no problems with vinyl at all.
Thank you,

Yup that is easy. Thank you. I was trying to save it as an eps not export.

Thanks for posting that. I need to find one of those cables. I am sure an office max or something of the sort would have one.

Was it ever explained how to cut directly from corel?
Thanks,

Can you convert it to Inkscape or Sign Blazer and cut from there? I am new to my corel x3 and have almost given up on it but it is easier to do the text in curves then it is in SB. Plus I just bought an Epson 1100 and figured this would be the best software to work in to actually send to my printer. I have been watching a lot of youtube videos and still am lost..

It will go up to 13x44 total size, You have to set a custom size in whatever program your using. in robo you can set a user preset size and save it as an option.
I want to do a printed banner for a wedding. I am not sure if I should do it in power point or corel but how do you do the cutom size? I tried to do it in photo gallery and it wasn't working.
