Thank you bk and joe for the welcome. It was a hard decission to make and I wish I could have gotten the copam but like so many of the others on here just wasn't in the budget for me. I will be more then happy to share anything I do on here. I have seen some wonderful work here. I mainly got it to cut out a decal of the buildings my Step Dad builds for his work trucks. My little cricut just couldn't do that kind of thing. I am hoping that I will find other work since I have invested into the cutter. I live in South Dakota so I am not sure how demanding it will be when not in a big city or area.

Both free sites ask for a business name. What if you don't have one then what do you put?

I was wondering if anyone uses the contour feature and if so, can you show some of the work that you have used it for? I have been debating between the mh721 and the laserpoint. Thanks in advance! Christi

Fivestar, I checked out ebay for the flexi pro and found that it is almost as spendy as the cutter itself. Do you use the demo or the full version? If it is just the contour cutting that I want to do would it be better for me to get the Laserpoint? Don't you just hate when woman are undecided?

Thanks for replying fivestar. What did you do the contour cutting for may i ask? Do you have pictures of the finish work? I didn't think that you could do the contour cutting with the mh721 flexi pro must be a top of the line software?

What a great job Charlie! You said you could put it on any printable inkjet vinyl. Do you print that off a regular printer or do you need a special kind to do that kind of work? Christi

Thanks for the help. What would you do contour cutting be for and on what type of paper? I seen a video on a laserpointer cutting a paper that was printed off the regular printer and it did't say what type of paper it was so I wasn't sure what it could be used on?

Welcome to the forum. I am also trying to learn what cutter to get. I hope more reply to your post then have to mine although they have been helpful in other areas I needed. Which type of t-shirts is the most popular to make? The vinyl or the transfer? Rodger-Why haven't your copam 2500's not be much use? Is it because of the small cuts? I am also looking into a cutter and not sure which one to get. I don't think I will be cutting anything much bigger then 8" tall but you never know I guess.

I would like a cutter that can cut images out of vinyl of pictures I take to be put on autos. I have read some of the other forums here and I don't understand the lingo. I would like to know what cutter is the best to do this type of work for the least amount of money. I currently have the "cricut" and that has done great for lettering but now I need to do more then the cartridges will allow me to do. Thanks.

Thanks so much for the welcome and the help/advice. I can tell that the forum is addicting I am checking and reading it a few times a day. Trying to learn what I want to do and if it is possible. I will have to look into how to vector since I have no clue what (.eps, .ai, etc.) is. I know the main picture I am looking into is a jpg. Is the laserpoint, Graphetic and the copam made by uscutter? I have seen some of the uscutters on ebay but they are the MH or the Pcut. Thanks Christi

Thanks Venice_d for the info. I have been watching tons of videos off of there and hopefully learning something. It is nice to know I can apply vinyl at cold temps since I am in SD. I haven't seen yet though if you can take a regular picture and have it cut off the cutter. I have seen some trace off a picture to be cut but haven't seen/heard if a regular picture could be done or not. If you trace the picture is that done in a software program? I have been reading a lot about the mh (refine?) and the pcut cutters and thinking that one of these might be the one for me? Do these cut heated vinyl? I am not sure if I would use that but have seen posts with that in them. How well do these two cutters cut small images or decals? If I am understanding correctly these cutters can cut upto the image of the machine ( example24") to whatever length you want. Am I correct? I hope someone can help me out.
