Adams county, PA (Gettysburg to be precise)

    Police and fire price.

Just going off the pictures for labor alone, looking at $200 on the black one and $350 on the red one. Looks like very precise registration with little to no bleeds.

    Storage Unit?

I'd jump on that for sure. Unfortunately I can't find anything remotely of the sort around here. Looking at shops, they run a minimum of $500 for rent. Then you have liability insurance, utilities, internet, etc and my expenses become almost double my current "treading water" number for the month. Got to get off my duff and make some more $$ instead of collecting toys haha. Wish I could go with OOG's solution

    Storage Unit?

I'm in a MH on leased land, so putting up an outbuilding or something of the sort isn't possible unfortunately. This has left me looking at "alternative" solutions
  5. That is how I got a nj alarm company. He went to the Hispanic part of the next town over and got someone shadier than me who installed it crooked. Probably the only client I charge close to market, because he is very particular and its a 5 color / 3 color overlay job that makes me both happy and sad the two times Ive done it.
  6. I'm not THAT bad Goose! I have trouble Eyeballing anything over 2 FT. which is why i use the level and those 80's looking glasses. I always go off of a body line or the chassis by locking the tilt/roll axis on the tripod and then move it up vertically from there

My uncle has an expensive Matco? one. The Harbor Freight gets within 10 degrees F of it reliably.
  8. I'm not afraid to do large, large guaranteed runs at well below market pricing. I once did 11 Vans for a Ravioli Guy at $100 EA in one day. (1 Color, 8 Yards material / Van). Having a laser level on a tripod helps for speed. By my accounts I made around $600 that day. @ Jay: Nothing beats being mistaken and then realizing you got yourself into a world of trouble, lol.
  9. On a new dumpster, with white 651 and many dumpsters to do, I could come in at $200 Each and be happy. If the dumpsters need to be cleaned etc, It would be more of a judgement call. Each dumpster is going to consume 20 yards of white and app tape, so materials and blade wear amount to $60 EA or so. With my girlfriend helping me, we could knock out 5 dumpsters in a day conservatively. $700 over material cost per day, before accounting for machine wear sounds good!

GJ all. Great looking work all around. BTW, girl riding the bomb reminds me of Dr. Strangelove.
  11. You're very welcome. You should look for a Low tack tape to go on your low tack mask, lol. I use an ancient roll of R-Tape AT60 (It used to be medium tack, but then they changed it to low tack without telling anyone at first. The roll I've got is only good for mask and large letters). Unfortunately its all I've ever used. The order of operations will go like this, for clarification. 1: Cut the mask on the vinyl cutter 2: Weed the unwanted pieces of vinyl off the backing and discard them. (the pieces you pick out are where the paint will be applied) 3: Place the application tape over your cut and weeded masking. 4: Peel the application tape and mask off the masks backing 5: Place the application tape holding the mask on to your substrate 6: Peel the app tape off leaving only the masking 7: Paint and in some cases, let dry completely 8: Peel off mask Also, cheap mans hack. If you look at the 813 price, you can cut a 48" roll into two 24" rolls at a cost of $17 Ea as opposed to $25. Depends on how much you use and you need a miter/chop saw
  12. The main reason I am suggesting the paint mask as opposed to green star (as mentioned above) or Oracal 651 (As I mentioned in my post) is the level of tack. The paint mask is low tack, which makes it come up easier and with less of a chance of pulling paint from your wood substrate up. Greenstar and oracal 651 are more likely to pull up your base coat, if it is not well set. Oracal 631's adhesive gets eaten by some paints, as I know from experience.
  13. Good afternoon Brandi. Alot of people use stencil and paint mask interchangeably. 1: A stencil in common terms is usually a re-usable non adhesive sheet. In this industry the "stencil" material is often an adhesive with a one time use. 2: IMO the SC model should work well enough. Stay away from the MH series as it has static/humidity issues that are amplified by cutting larger vectors. 3: There are special stencil materials sold. http://www.uscutter.com/ORAMASK-813-Paint-Mask-Stencil is a very good general purpose mask with a low tack adhesive. You can technically use oracal 651 as a mask, but its higher adhesion makes taking the material off afterwards a chore and you might damage the substrate. Both canvas and rough wood will be prone to bleeding. In the case of canvas I would recommend a rigid stencil material (which limits your design to having no "floating" pieces). You might want to look into getting an airbrush to mitigate some of that risk of bleeds.

    Computer Hardware Gurus Please

Also on a technical level: 1: SATA hard drives do not have master/slave status. That was reserved for legacy IDE drives that had jumpers. 2: USB 2.0 can not provide enough power to spin up a 3.5" desktop drive. Any external enclosure needs additional power or will have two USB plugs 3: If you purchase an external enclosure, try to purchase one with a built in fan. Many mechanical drives run hot in a very enclosed area, which takes from its lifespan markedly.

    Copyrights

As far as I understand, protection for commercial parody material is quite limited. Often artists like Weird Al get permission and pay a percentage to the original content owner. Only non-commercial items are afforded a wider level of protection. That being said, I would think that in general, most companies would not pursue legal action beyond a C&D if the parody is not libelous or too similar. Of course, notoriously litigious companies should not be tested

    About to lose my mind

In all seriousness though, the Winbook line of tablets is a phenomenal value. Where else do you get a real x86 quadcore, full windows, and usb support for $100 or less (in a portable format with no need for a monitor)? I've run a hub off the USB and had my craft robo, a mouse, and a usb stick plugged in all at once. Great for when you are on the road and selling at a seedy/dusty place.

@ Dakota. You are unlikely to find any $30 pc with a monitor that is not going to be lethargic and archaic. You can't reasonably expect a MAC user to lower themselves to such a depth. It's bad enough they would have to adapt to metro tiles in win8 because they cant figure out how to install a skin. **//end sarcasm

Ok, for all you Mac only folks, here is a solution . http://www.microcenter.com/product/439773/TW700_Tablet_-_Black Buy one of those for $70 and cut whatever you want with it. It runs full windows and has a real full sized USB port. I use one (the 8" version with USB3) whenever I travel to someplace that I don't want my precision workstation to get stolen or damaged. They work!

    Pinch rollers

I think it has more to do with tracking and feeding quality. It also might be the blade holder dragging. The 24" graphtec ce5k actually only has 2 pinch rollers that work better than 3 on the 34" mh

    12" vinyl, 8" application tape

I call this the "bandaid". It can be done without bubbles, but requires paper tape and very strict handling. You have to be careful not to have slack when you place the bandaid, and then be careful during application.
