Welcome geek!
-
Im no expert by any means yet, but I have read on here that anything can cause that. Improper blade depth, serial connection, drivers, software glitches, hardware glitches, not enough slack on the vinyl, etc etc could cause problems. I am sure someone else might chime in if they have had these types of problems. But, that is what I can think of as I have lurked around the forums myself :-) Good luck!
Oh and welcome to the forums!

Hey guys thanks for the words of encouragement :-) I have no doubt that this small investment will pay for itself in no time. I mentioned this somewhere on here, but I LOVE learning new things. One of my classic examples is of a 5th wheel I had bought a few years back. I taught myself how to do Pex plumbing in that thing so I could plumb in a tankless hot water heater. Needless to say, I did, and it worked flawlessly. I am a jack of all trades and almost a master at a few of them by now

I did 4 of these a few weeks ago for a guy who is building a fill size replica of the Tardis.
THAT IS FREAKIN SWEET! Now I have to do that
-
That would be a good sub forum to have. I am getting an SC series cutter, and I wouldn't mind a little corner for us SC folks!
-
Well, $879 that is..
ARG! I gotta say it, the tracking for all my wonderful packages says the cutter will be here the 15th and the vinyl on the 18th! My poor poor cutter is going to be lonely for a few days without some vinyl sliding through it.. oh man that sounds wrong.. lmao
Am I the only one wanting next week to get here fast!!
Ooh ooh off topic, but NEW Dr Who tomorrow night!!! AWESOME!

Oh if there was an applause or clapping smiley, I would certainly post it up!

Anyone that throws a temper tantrum like this wont be in business very long! As Dale Carnegie says "if you want honey, dont kick over the beehive"! I think what OP really needs is anger management classes/therapy!

Ah another person from the P-town area. Except, you live in Hillsburrito Has the city grown much in the last few years? I remember that the place was just massively expanding in 2009.. Ah maybe someday, I have to come back for a visit
-
What part of P-town you at? I grew up across the river.. lol Havent been back in almost 3 years, I probably wont either. But, I do miss the best Mexican joint thats over on Lombard! I hafta come visit just for that place!

Slice&dice - scaling as to what size the cutter will make everything. Ok, so I sized my font up at 22" wide x 3" tall in SBE. Will that come out cut like that? That is the size I want the first sentence to be on my window (window is 24" wide). Ive got room for 4 lines of text at 3" tall and 1" between each sentence. I am buying a laptop with the expresscard port so I can plug an express card with a serial port into it to run the cutter. I am hoping that would work!
Edge - Awesome you were out here visiting! I do not know anything about Copic as of yet when it comes to durability. I'll put it to the test and see how it holds up to winter out here!
-
Thanks everyone! And a special LOL to the not putting the wallet away remark I can't wait for everything to get here. I already have the stuff designed and ready for my truck. So first project and testament to me doing this is my own personal vehicle. If I dont screw that up too badly, then I might be on a good path to some side income

Yep, I ordered my 25" SC cutter with stand! I also went ahead and ordered 35' x 5' Gloss White Hexis for the wrap on my truck. So far, I have spent over $600 today, and I am not done yet! I still have to order some Oracal 651, a squeegee, transfer paper.. ya.. lol I did get an awesome heat gun last summer at a yard sale for $5. Already have the exacto, so I am almost ready to go So, who wants to hire me to cut some decals.. lmao

Here is my late (since I am new) welcome! What part of potato land do you hail from? Boise? Nampa?
-
Hi Kathy welcome! You never mentioned what you need an activation code for, so of course noone can help you there!
-
Swinns, I am not sure if you noticed or not, but this is the introduction forum! So, if your introducing your cutter, then welcome cutter! But as Dan said, you need a cutting software program, inkscake is a vector editor only.
-
Welcome, I am "level 0" as well
-
Welcome, and I have only been here a week or so!
-
This is a software issue, and should be posted in the software section. Now if you want to introduce yourself, well, welcome!

I do have Red Dead, and I have played online before I also do other online games like Dead Rising and GTA 4. The thing I like about PC is that you can run emulators for old game systems. So, in the past, I have played things like Sonic the Hedgehog .. lol
