  1. How long does that last with laminate ?

The wrap material I'm using (Arlon) last around 7-8 years laminated.

But if the surface is not prepared properly and if here is some loose paint .....in that case hope for the best.

Another thing very important for Wrap vinyl is, after installation , it has to be heat cured (heat gun , torch) in order to avoid problems.

I apologize for jumping in J.

  2. First one is 3'x8' sign made out of max metal (double sided aluminum with plastic core inside) Oracal 751 used for lettering and Laminated arlon for printed part.

Second one is 3'x6' banner for same customer. 13oz 1000x1000 denier banner material was used. 100% brass grommets (rust free)

  5. I agree with J and Neron..Sometimes our inside jokes are missed by others that have not been part of those conversations...Neron has the big brother to my mickey mouse 54" Mutoh but I can't fault him for making it obvious of his short comings and buying a HUUUUGE printer BIGGER than MINE!!!!

I will get you some day on me buying the 64 or maybe the 100" but till then I bow to your superior size MAN!!! LMAO!!!

@ Jmiller sometimes look different from the other side..If Neron is comfortable with his pricing then it's ok..I would had done the job for the same money..I didn't bid on the job due to my good friends Jfought and Neron were on the thread before I was..Thats what makes the world go round is competition..If you don't want to wholesale then don't do it..If your wholesale pricing is more than Nerons then adjust your pricing or don't get any jobs...I see this all the time that others on here fuss and even cuss at anothers pricing..You live where you do and your over heads different than everyones on here...I would certainly do a 2' x 5' banner for 10 or more at 30 bucks...NO PROBLEM...I have a mickey mouse 54" compared to the 64" as mentioned above,DON't take it so seriously when the inside joke parts mentioned each time on this thread..IT's not directed at you or your equipment directly... but I will take everyday a 10 banner job like this one for that..ABSOLUTELY!!!

AGAIN Way to go Neron JUST wish I had bid it NOW..LMAO!!!

    Well said Stetson.

When I improve my English skills I will be able to be eloquent as yourself.

Until then please be patient with me .

    BTW Mutoh kick ass.

    LOL

  6. i hve to say that the mickey mouse printer comment is an inside joke!

Thanks my friend, "mickey Mouse" is an inside joke.

    @JMiller

But , to clear something else out, with my old Roland SC500 i would never be able to offer this price for whole sale , due to low speed of the machine and time consumption.

That is the REASON I bought Mutoh 1604 which is beast comparing to what I had before.

This is not place to talk about it , but you would not believe how long it takes to print one of these banners.

I've bought printer to be able to print full color banners, so I went and spend xxxxx amount of money for custom made profiles for media Im using the most (to be able to pull maximum quality print with reasonable usage of the ink. So 100% coverage does not brake the bank.

But its just me. Maybe I'm wrong. Time will show.

I bought my printer in November and it payed for itself by the March. I must doing something wrong :)

Do I brag about size of my printer?

I do, because printing 5' wide is my thing and I would like to put it out.

If you ever need anything printed wider than 30" I will be more than glad to offer you my service for the same extra low price.

You have yourself a nice day, I have to go print some banners>

  7. Thanks, your banners are printing as I type.

As I tried to explain in one of the earlier threads about offering wholesale pricing.

Wholesale does not mean (for me) ordering one banner or 15 4"x4" stickers or one yard sign.

Im using "Im using "estimate", software which track all my costs and tells me exactly to the penny how much I have to charge in order to make XXXX amount of money.

Software also tracks cost of ink used for the job on different settings. I do not want to discuss exact cost here.

There is 2 wholesale discounts I'm offering (I do not do much wholesale printing)

1 . 40% of regular price for bigger order (real wholesale)

    2. 30%of for smaller order (most forums)

Now I would like to address this @ Jmiller

Would you be kind and explain this to all of us

"WOW, I'm happy for the OP but not the printer doing them lol"

What harm it would do to printer if you print black or pink background instead just white?

Unless you are the one with "Mickey Mouse" 30" printer who pays high price for the banner material.

Advice would be , do your homework (printing, cost etc) before post anything. Save us some BS and in same time you would look more professional.

  8. Nicely said Stetson.

I would be more than glad to help also.

    @seejsy

You can cut Big graphics with smaller cutter , Its called tieling.

If you search this forum you would be able to find a lots Of info about this topic ( cutting not ignoring people as Roxanneupnorth)

    Good luck

  9. OK

I live Of this job so Part Of it is to put up with different people.

If i could not do it , I would find 8-5 job.

Im doing this 3.5 years And place where I am now speeks for itself.

You Speak like Someone Who does it as hobby while life partner brings home stady paycheck,

And I get it , you are just an ignorant person Who always starts crap here And polute this nice forum.

  10. If you can afford to chase customer away, you are or Rich or dumb.

There is always an option , i call it comunication And pointing in right direction.

Some customers accept it some dont .
