  1. I know i posted this in the printer section but I wasn't getting any response. Maybe no one has bought one of these printers and couldn't answer my question I don't know..

Any way. I was wondering if anyone had any reviews on this printer. As well as can it be converted to a continuous ink system? And I was looking at the specs on it and didn't see what paper size it uses. Is it standard 8.5x 11 or is it 13x what ever like the more expensive one next to it listed on UsCutters site?

  2. I was working in SBE the other day and now all of a sudden when I go to edit the nodes the lines that connect the nodes are gone. I cannot figure out how to get them back. I find it really hard to edit my work with no line. Can anyone help?

  3. Try calling Richard at Cobra Ink Systems (877-334-8465)

....he can install a bulk CIS system for you for much less

than buying a new set of Epson ink cartridges.

He'll be able to answer all your questions too.

    Great customer service.

    Good Luck.

THank you I will give them a call.

  4. Ok i bought an Epson R1900 about 2 years ago hoping to do T-shirts with it. I was so swamped getting my business off the ground that I am now getting around to doing T-shirts that are printed. Just wondering what everyones thoughts are. I was thinking of making it a CIS printer but I heard alot about if you dont use the printer on a daily basis it clogs. I spoke with Sawgrass and they recomended me to Mike at RPL supplies who offered me a printer for Chromoblast inks. My delema is that if i convert my R1900 to CIS it will cost me almost $1500. The printer that mike is offering me is $1500 with inks, and paper. I know it should be a no brainer but I have printer so why spend the money. Now the only differance is that the Printer MIke is suggesting is that it is a Cartridge printer not a CIS. SO with that being said why not just buy the cartridges for the R1900 which cost about $500 and save myself $1000. Need help thanks.

  5. I am thinking of upgrading to new software. I was watching some demos on the SignLab products they look very interesting. Just wondering if anyone has used it and has used Flexi 8 or 10. How do they compare and which program is nicer for doing vinyl cutting. I am planning on expanding to printing in the future so I want something that will do both any suggestions?

    thanks

  6. I am looking for different places to buy clipart and other images. I have the Mega collection and most of the ones that UsCutter offers. I see lots of decals that people are selling on line and at shows but I can't seem to find the image software online for sale any where. Can anyone help?

  7. I know there is a lot of detail to this logo. I recreated the lightning bolt, HCMS and the text below the logo from regular font. What I really need is the water. I would like to do it in just 3 solid colors. If not one solid color would be nice. I don't do printing. I do layered vinyl that's why i need it in either 3 colors or 1 solid. Can anyone help me. I need this asap. Customer needs it for new company truck. I have been pulling my hair trying to make this work.

  8. same thing with the sign warehouse forum - very slow but still a threat to some

Yeah i tried asking my same question over there and didn't get much help that's why i asked for help here. I have a laser point cutter that I love but couldn't pass up the price on this cutter. Everyone here on this forum always is great and has a lot of knowledge and help. I appreciate everyone's help. I try to run the seiki too much the dog doesn't even like it. LOL

  9. I bought a Seiki 1350 cutter from a friend who was getting out of vinyl. its a 54" cutter. Works great actually brand new he never used it. But it is really loud and kinda screechy sounding when its cutting. I have it at 210mm/s and 100g of force. don't have a manual. do these settings sound ok? cuts good.

  10. It may be on here somewhere already. But what do i need to do to maintain my cutter. As far as oiling it and making sure that nothing tightens or loosens up? It was making a squeaking noise the other night and just want to make sure things are oiled that need to be. Thought there was white lithium grease at on time on the rollers that make the cutter head go back and forth. may be i am wrong. Can someone help me out. i don't want to wear out my cutter.

  11. Depends if i am doing something for a race team to use as profit makers I will charge $2.50- $3.00 if they are getting more than 10 and they are single layer. if i am selling at my stand i will price a 5x5 out at $5.00 only because the competition is selling theirs at about the same price. I have been using the $.04 per sqin. for the racecars. I know i have picked up 8 cars this year and i feel comfortable with what have been charging the guys for their cars. I understand what it costs to race and lettering tends to be the downfall if your team doesn't have alot of money to work with. I do add in labor fees that are not included in the per sqin price. I will do some refiguring of my prices. You guys have been a lot of help thank you.

  12. I also googled some decal sites where people are selling their decals. Such as http://raddezigns.com/ and i emailed them thinking they would at least point me in some direction to where they purchase some of the graphics that they make. but no one ever responded. There are several sites that looks exactly like his and i figured they all had to purchase their graphics somewhere because they all were selling the exact same thing.

Thought maybe if someone on here could check out that site and let me know if you know where they might have purchased some of their graphics. I would be interested in buying some.

  13. I am looking to purchase some graphics to help me speed up the process of designing and cutting. I have some collections already of CDs and files of vector ready graphics.

I am looking for Race cars. preferably silhouettes. I dont have a lot of time to sit an clean up graphics so i find it a lot less time consuming if i can just purchase them somewhere.

any suggestions? I have the ultimate racing clipart collection already. or may be someone can tell me how to change a detail clip into a silhouette that would work to.

  14. There ate144 sq inches in 1 sq foot. Not just 12. That would make one sq in cost .0008333 For race cars I charge more but not quite double for two color and I charge $15 extra per specialty color.

ok, thanks i see it now. I was just over looking the obvious. SO i wasn't doing to bad then when i price my stuff out at $0.04 per square inch. That's like an 80% mark up. Guess thats not to bad. I usually round up to get even figures so there is no change to deal with.

    Thanks for all your help.

  15. ok, so i find myself doing jobs that don't come out to a square foot so I got in the habbit of pricing per square inch. But the more i sit her today trying to figure out my cost per square inch its not coming out be equivalent to the square foot price. What should I do? I have a few stickers i need to price out they are 24" x 2" and 48"x 3". Single Layer.

SO in theory if say my material costs $0.12 per sqft it should cost $0.01 per sqin right? So when i use these numbers to figure out what it would cost by taking 12" x 12" multiply it by $0.01 it comes to $1.44 but if I take 1' x 1' it comes to $0.12. AM I being Blond or something. I must be missing some part of the equation here somewhere. I know this should be simple math but for whatever reason i am having a mental block.
