Guessing I bought a 25lb paperweight? Glad I bought the deal for all the vinyl and not the paperweight!

Bought a package deal to help out a friend who bought from another friend that has since moved on. I ended up with an Ioline Signature 5000 cutter, a Roland Stika and a nice stash of vinyl. Not sure what either cutter can do, they may be too old to do anything with? They came with a bunch of cables and old floppies with drivers but imagine I can download everything if they are worth plugging up. Not much online about other than a slim support page at Ioline that I have found so far. Can anyone offer any info on either?

Thanks Jay2703, It's a busy week so far, I was just hoping to save some time with outlines. I usually measure in detail and then import pic,then scale.... but measuring just one element and scaling, I never thought of that. DUH! Moment!

Have you tried Google SketchUp? I've heard it's user friendly but haven't tried it yet. I used to have customers come in with lots of different free cad program files that I'd import into AutoCad. I can't remember many of the names but I know there are a lot out there and many are free, mini versions. Here are some of the names I do remember Powercad, Incad, TurboCad, VersaCad, etc. There are a few a free civil drawing programs out there too, I don't remember those though. I'd also check download.com/cnet.com and search civil drawing software. Hope that helps

Point taken top53! Easier that way- no one's ever actually paid the astronomical amounts I toss out anyway.. Good thing too or I might be too tempted to spend the "fine cash" on more equipment to play with. Volt - Anyone ever produce a letter? I've only had a couple but not for vinyl jobs.
