Welcome from this part of New Jersey too! -
I looked up sample requests and found this. http://www.sespecialty.com/samplerequest/

No tape needed for heat transfers. I don't know about using an iron though. I have heard people say that it will work but I have always used a heat press. Maybe you can get a sample of it from one of the suppliers to test it out?
-
I use the regular paper tape for any wet application. I don't use a wet apply for banners though. Not really needed and can make more of a mess than anything.
-
I have used it on thin vinyl areas and it works well.

Not sure where you are but I think each state is different. Here in NJ we need to tax shipping costs also. -

CUTTING A DESIGN
bayshorecreations replied to ja's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Discussion
I havent had any problems cutting stuff that size but tell us a little more so we can try and help you out. What software are you using to cut with? USB or serial? Computer memory, etc. -
I don't play around with etching very often but I would try contacting Pyrex and see what they say about it. Pyrex is made to withstand very high heat and I don't know if there is something in it that might be compromised if you etch it. You don't need a lawsuit from it breaking on someone because you etched it. Just a thought...

I am using USB with my laptop and my Refine cutter and it works fine. You can get a port for your laptop tu use with that plug instead of buying a desktop computer. http://www.cablemax.net/detail/index.cfm?nPID=72365

heat press vinyl mugs VS. regular vinyl on mugs
bayshorecreations replied to routesmith's topic in General discussion
The heat press for mugs is for using dye sublimation transfers not vinyl. A Dye sub transfer is a process in which you print sublimation ink on to a transfer paper and then press the paper with pressure and heat to the mug. When sublimation ink gets heated to very high temps the ink turns into a gas and transfers from the paper to the mug. Google Dye Sublimation if you want to learn more about it. -
Calling all shops on the east coast, whats shipping like with Fellers?
bayshorecreations replied to john!'s topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
The only problem I ever had with Fellers was on an ink order that got messed up but they rectified the problem very quickly. Shipping is fast and priced competitively. -
