  1. Oh, Lord, here I go again. Me and my ADHD self getting excited about another new project when I haven't even perfected the cutting thing yet. (But I will.) Thank God I have my daughter and a great staff to run my store because I'm not there nearly as much as I ought to be lately!

I can't wait to get started. Thanks, Rob.

  2. I think he's adorable. And obviously you are, too. Your wife asks for something special - she gets it. Me? I ask for something special, I get a puzzled look, like "Huh? Duh...Oh, I get it. You're joking aren't you? I mean, you got me already. I like a woman with a sense of humor. You're so cute, Carolan...."

    Anyway, great job.

  3. Furs

    Gun collection

    Cash from safe

    Jewelry

Picaso (oops did you say my house or the neighbors)

Well I just read what 5 items would you grab and his stuff is so much better than mine....LOL

LOL! Now that was funny...I don't care who you are...

(somebody used that line here the other day and I laughed out loud. Think it had to do with our "clothing optional" friend here. I need to go back and see that one again.)

  4. Isn't there something about lemons that helps burn extra calories? All you need is tequila to go with them. A couple shots and you won't even want dinner. Double winner.

Oh, wait, I think that's grapefruit juice. In that case, switch to vodka. A tall, icy cold, vodka & grapefruit juice before dinner and dinner can wait  'til breakfast.

  5. Here in Alabama, tornadoes in the warm months and a light coating of ice on the streets in winter, have the same result; insane rushes on the grocery store. Like you, I try to keep my pantry stocked year round to avoid last minute rushes.

Tornadoes are horrid, but instead of soaking a house, they usually blow parts or all of them away. Drying out isn't often an option. It's more like totally re-building. When water damage occurs it's not usually to the degree you get out of a hurricane. I couldn't imagine water so heavy it gushes out of the baseboards. How did you dry your house out? I'm guessing you had to replace carpets if you had any, but how did you dry out the insides of walls? What a nightmare!

  6. Husband drives 2004 extended cab Silverado Z71, Harley Davidson Heritage Springer (can't remember year without asking him) and I drive a 2007 Mustang Shelby GT.

Both the Z71 and the Shelby guzzle gas, but we love them. Hubby keeps saying he's gonna start driving the Harley to work more often, but so far he's still in his truck most days.

  7. Well, that's just great!

After reading all the other comments, I got on the ball and finally assembled my stand. I was happy with it and feeling pretty good about the space I'd cleared up and then I see this? Needless to say, I'm not happy with the stand anymore. I want a rolling cart setup like yours. Luckily, I already have some extra casters at the store so it shouldn't be all that big a deal for me to do something up. (This said by the person who took 2 months to put together a stand - lol!)

  8. I can honestly say there has NEVER been a day in my entire life that I have not been proud to be an American.

Proud of everything our government has done? NO. I'm also not proud of everything my neighbors have done. Nor am I proud of everything my family - or even I, myself, have done. But, they are still my family and I still love them and I am proud of them. And that's exactly the way I feel about my country. I love it and I'm proud of it.

As for fuel consumption going down, I'm thrilled. It's a wonderful result of a bad situation. It's a lesson I hope we all learn well. It's part of being a good steward. We should care for everything we've been blessed with.

And I agree with whoever said we should vote every single incumbent out office. Talk about getting some politicians' attention! That's the best message we could ever send most of those selfish jerks.

  9. Looks great! I love the Curlz font, too. It really is a chick thing.

Hope you've looked up plenty of stuff to sell in your mom's shop. Parents LOVE decorating their kids' bedroom walls. I'm finishing some up right now.

BTW: where is your Mom's store located? And has she hooked up with NARTS or TGTBT yet? If not, email me. She NEEDS both of these groups more than she can possibly know.

  10. Have not added much re the vinyl yet, but I do plan to do one really nice page with lots of photos when I get the chance.

BTW: on the Woods site I saw a cute tweety bird - any chance of getting that eps? One of the girls at the store is crazy about Tweety bird. She even has a Tweety tatoo on her leg.

    Thanks!

  11. I'm barely 5' 3" and when I was younger, a size 3 was perfect and a 5 was my "fat" days. At my height an 8 is curvy and a 10 is bordering on downright chunky. I know what you mean, though. My former mother-in-law was 5'11" and in a size 14, she was actually slender. If I wore a 14, I'd be as wide as I am tall!
