    How old are ya?

I had to delete my own response to that little exchange, BannerJohn and Grace. I will admit though; a good cork will keep a "wine" from going sour.

    SALT LIFE

I don't get it. I know the ocean is salty so is that what it's about?

    How old are ya?

46 - and I don't even know my own weight. I'm too afraid I'll drop dead of a heart attack if I actually SEE the numbers. I have a hard enough time realizing I"m in double digit size jeans now. And to think, it hasn't been many years since I was so naive as to think a size 8 was for those women who just gave up...Oh, Lord, to be one of "those" women again.

    Wanna share your photo?

I really wish I had some fun pics (love Terry's) but it's pretty slim pickin's on this computer. Then again, I"m pretty much always the photog around here so not many pics of me anywhere.

    Some more wall art

I like it. And to think, I almost did one on pegboard before I left the store tonight, but was tired and didn't want to have to undo it if it looked awful. After seeing yours, I'm going o cut something else and do one this weekend. Thanks for sharing.

What does your user name mean??

Pretty self-explanatory for mine. Of course, he wasn't fooled for long. Then again, by the time he caught me I'd introduced the old fart to the wonderful, world-wide, internet, and games. He was so hooked he didn't have time to worry about what I was doing. It was a pretty great ride while it lasted. Decent money, nice benefits, private office, a secretary, and lots of time to play on line. And to think, I just walked away from all that. Some of us don't know when we've got it made. LOL! Now I"m popping over to MATURE AUDIENCE to check out Ralais explanation.

  8. Can't help with pricing and while advertising can be expensive, you might consider FREE wall art for local businesses. Visit first and note their style and colors, then go home and practice. Make something to go high up above their racks so it doesn't take space from their merchandise. Put one on your wall, take photos, then show it to them. (You can peel it off your walls and replace it with the next when you're ready.) Chances are, most small business owners would love the personal touch for their boutiques. All you want in exchange is to leave some brochures or cards for them to pass on to their customers. (Vista Prints does some free cards with shipping to get you started.) With luck, your wall art might be so attractive they want more for their shops and will be willing to pay for them. At the least, your work is out their for the public to see and unlike a newspaper ad, it won't be thrown away tomorrow. Don't forget health and beauty salons, dry cleaners, doctor's offices, and real estate agents. If you have family members who own businesses, ask them first.

    Homemade Premasker

I just took a small section of my office to set up a CUTTER area. Then, took the cheapo route for my pre-mask station; 2 ladder back chairs and a rod. I eventually hope to get hubby to build something a little more permanent.http://lh5.ggpht.com/Logston.Roger.Carolane/SIadS5ifBtI/AAAAAAAACGI/Z8cenGu3Pzk/premask%20chairs.jpg?imgmax=512

    Wrap for Nitto Tires

WOW! That's the only word that seems to fit. How long have you been doing this anyway? That is gorgeous.

    motorcycle helmets

Thanks to whoever had the multi-color flames posted, my grandchildren think I can do anything! My husband gave our grandchildren some of his spare helmets to wear while riding their battery powered bikes, but Luke, our 2 yr old, always wanted Papa's instead. He likes all the stickers on it. So, I did my first layered decal in flames and added a few more single color ones to decorate the kids' helmets. Because my husband's helmet has a SCOOTER TRASH sticker on it and because Luke wants to be just like him, I did a SCOOTER BRAT sticker for him and a SCOOTER BABE sticker for Gracie. Needless to say, my grandchildren LOVE my PCUT. Thanks to whoever posted that flame file!

A couple of Beer Mugs !!!

I'd love to know how to do these, too. I could sell Alabama/Auburn mugs like hot cakes! Heck, I'd even like a few for myself.

    motorcycle helmets

Thanks, guys! Heat press? Not sure what that is but give me a little time and I might try that, too. The car is a 2007 Mustang Shelby GT (birthday gift from husband who felt a little guilty about all of his toys).

    My car

I'd mentioned a "little" decal work on my Shelby but that didn't go over to well with my husband. So far, I've only put one tiny one on one of the little back windows and I'm surprised he hasn't removed it. I'm hoping he'll relax a little before the next car show around here. I'd love to get some business that way. On the up side, I've already sold several small wall decor jobs since I got my cutter and quoted a large sign today. This is so much fun. You guys are awesome! Thanks!

    new decal

Why involve government when the free market can do a much better job with far less red tape? Want to fix the speculators who are buying futures and helping to drive the price up? Simple: DRILL HERE - DRILL NOW. The only reason these speculators can drive the price up is because they believe the future holds a HIGHER demand with a dwindling supply. We drill here, it will send a clear message that although demand may well go up, supply will increase as well. The bottom will fall out of that futures market.
  16. Although I figured I'd have lots of questions, I really wasn't counting on starting out this way. I've loaded everything onto a Vista machine and it does nothing. I keep getting the message "cannot open output device error initializing cutter". Has anyone else using Vista had this problem? If so, could you tell me how to fix it? Thanks!

Hi - from the greenest of newbies

Just won a PCUT on Ebay and I can't wait to get it. I've never done anything remotely like this so I'm afraid I'll worry you guys to death asking questions. In fact, I already have one. Since I don't know what I'm doing yet, I don't even know what supplies I'll need to use my machine. I've found transfer tape listed and some kind of cleaning product, but I don't know what size transfer tape or even how much vinyl to start with. Anybody have "starter" list of what a newbie would need? Thanks for any suggestions. I look forward to learning and eventually sharing with you guys.
