  1. I think the prolific cables are wired for the cutters. But every thing I have heard about using another type of usb/serial cable is that they are a pita because they do not work correctly. I think John is right though about the 871 issues. But I have hooked my cutters up through usb/serial on 4 or 5 desktops and laptops with xp to Win 7 with no issues.


  2. It sounds more like pressure than anything. I set my press at 320 and do them for 18 - 20 seconds. But I have so much pressure on mine that it takes both hands to release. If you don't apply a lot of pressure, the vinyl just lays on top of the material instead of binding to the mesh.

  3. If you put a disclaimer in the promotion with " please allow 4 to 6 weeks " on the free t-shirt. Then hire a contract printer to print the shirts. That will give you enough time after the end of the promotion to print and ship the t's. But it will also save you having to buy presses and hire staff to press transfers.
