One way. Create your text. Select text and copy and paste. It will show up on top of the original. Change the color of the copy and move to the position you want, then move to back of page. Create a contour around the original text to create the gap size you want. then right click on the contour and separate contour. In shaping, select copied text and contour and apply back minus front. Lifting in the corners is usually the blade is out to far. Set the blade EXACTLY like skeeter said. Slow your speed down to 20 until you get it cutting right. 35 is pretty quick for problem solving.

Wild guess would be you got them from cut ready. Check there web site and see if they are in the free sample download. If your design computer is 300 miles away, where is the cutter? Just asking.

Not trying to be a dick here, but if you cant vector them yourself, and you don't have a computer to find them, no one knows for sure you actually have them. Understand, no one is going to vector something on an open forum and put them self's at risk for distributing copyright material. There is no way you should be doing it also. Run your finger nail over it. Can you feel it? If it is cut bad, then something did happen. If you move the carriage by hand and accidentally press the holder down, that could do it also.

I have used cobra and will continue to deal with them. What you want to do is way over the cost of another printer. ANY contamination from the regular ink to the sub stuff will mess everything up. Maybe you should listen to what was said and realize they where trying to help you. Wanting a single printer to do the job of 2 at a low cost is nuts in my opinion. Spreading the word that Cobra is a bad idea is only going to make you look bad. But hey, go for it. They have more happy customers than bad.
